hehe, im not being that bad am i :D  i just feel so unorganised, so i make lists of stuff! already made a list of the baby clothes we have and what we need to get - complete with rough ideas of prices.

Although, you have just reminded me to ask my sister to feed the cat, fish and hamster if needed though :)

ditto, hence the lists! ive even made a list of when i need to take my different pills, cause my brain doesn't want to function :(

Since them telling me ive only got 7ish weeks left, instead of the 10ish i should have, plus the fact that half my day, every day, is taken up at the hospital, i relised i need to get my backside in gear. still so much to do!!!

Lol i did exactly the same thing hun, the lists ended up going out the window after a while though

i have to agere, im the same with lists, i have my hospital bag lists, my nursery lists, my finances list till im due, chore list for my dad in case i go in hospital, dad must hate me and my lists hahaha

im the least organised person i know, so lists have always been my way of trying to sort myself out. I tend to get to the point where i am making lists where i don't need to, but they help me feel sorted.

Just doing my list of DIY / moving cupboards etc /chores , i want OH to have done/sorted before baby comes :)

Then i am going to make a start on my contacts list :) all in order of who i want OH to contact first when LO arrives! lol

You sem to have it pretty much covered hun
Can i just suggest though

Baby
Bibs/muslin squares and a hat

You
I'd take an extra nightie just in case(TMI but i bled through mine)

I'd also take a book/magazines
some snacks maybe and bottles of water
Mini fan
Plenty of change for phone, can guarantee Oh's mob will either get left at home or battery will go :D

can't think of anything else at min

You will have loads of waiting if induced like me hunny and once they do your waters you are not allowed to wander

thanks jo.

Ive got my hospital walk around on the 22nd, so i will double check if there is anything silly i need to bring / they recomend.

All i have seen is people having 'the talk' about them being induced the following day. its really odd to think soon that will be me! i think that is why i have had the sudden burst to get stuff organised.

It made me cry the other day when a lady got told she was due to be induced 7.30 the following day. luckly the screen had been pulled round, and no one saw me blubbering

At least she had some warning
I was phoned at home in the afternnon and told my levels had shot up that much i had to be there first thing in the morning!!!

I have been packing my hospital bag for months! Now the novelty is wearing off, haha.

Went into hospital for an emergency a couple weeks ago and they provided me with a free overnight bag, full of everything I needed! Also when I took the hospital tour, they have a room there stocked full of newborn clothes, nappies etc. Then after the birth they send you home with an after birth care pack for mum's and baby.

They use hospital gowns too, so I don't have to worry bout ruining any of my own clothes.

They really are supplied at my hospital! I don't need to take anything with me, not even a camera, as they have a photo service there!

we have to take everything! Of course if it was an emergency they have enough to provide for them, but otherwise we need to birng everything.

Ive not been for my hospital tour yet - got it next week.

You have missed nappy cream off your list Sam :)

I don't know if i am going to have space for it! considering mums can be in and out so quick, i feel like i am packing for a month!!!

Will add it to the list :) thanks

My tip is to take some throat lozengers that are safe to use during breastfeeding. May not be necessary but I had a long labour and because I 'grunted' while I was pushing  I found I had a really sore throat afterwards!

Also recommend some homeopathic aids - mainly clary sage to sniff during labour, rescue remedy for during labour and arnica tablets for afterwards to help with the healing.

Also has anyone said change for the telephones? Depends on the hospital facilities - many wards have phones for each bed now - in which case a credit card (though the phones may be expensive!)

Finally - as others have said, snacks and drinks - even if you don't use them during labour you may want something on the ward afterwards and it's horrible being without.
