Hi ladies, me and dh have been ttc for a year now and I got my bfp two days ago, very early days and I’m really scared I’m going to have another loss. My lines on frer aren’t ever so strong yet and I’m not even showing as pregnant on the clear blue digi yet.

Today I’ve been having period cramps, quite strong but still a line on the frer. Do you think it is ok or is this a bad sign?

Hello, I totally understand your anxiety. I had 2 losses followed by a healthy pregnancy and I’m now pregnant and anxious again. Stretching pains and cramping are normal in early pregnancy, as long as they aren’t very painful or accompanied by blood. Try not to panic yourself x

Well, my reason for testing was extreme period cramps (wayyyy worse than usual for me) that started over a week before AF was due. Got my positive and the cramps stayed at that very strong level until I was 5 weeks pregnant. They eased off but have only stopped this week (12 weeks tomorrow). Cramps are caused by your uterus stretching, some women feel it more than others. My doc told me that cramping is almost never the first sign of MC, so any cramping without blood is normal.

The period cramps are super normal. Mine were quiet strong too and they started at 8 DPO and stopped at 5 weeks-ish. I still get them here and there, just not as bad. It's your uterus stretching.

I would test every other day for now. I don't think it's a bad sign yet. It could be your water intake too making the line lighter. Best thing is to get a blood test and repeat the blood test again in 48 hrs. :)

Cramping is definitely normal, in fact it was worse with my successful pregnancies than it was with my loss. It’s impossible not to worry, especially after a loss. Congratulations and best of luck to you!

First of all lovely, congrats on your :bfp:
Second, I echo all the other lovely ladies in that cramping is normal. I had a little last week but this week the pains I think are cramp are in fact wind, which is another normality

So much easier said than done but try not to let yourself worry over everything.

If you want to join us march mummas then pop on into the march 2019 thread, we'd love to have you around. Finally, hope you have a happy, sticky & healthy pregnancy xxx

The period cramps are completely normal. Mine started not long after my BFP and lasted for weeks, so I would take it as a positive sign. Mind you, it made me constantly anxious and kept checking to make sure it wasn't my period, so I can completely appreciate it's making you nervous. x Fingers crossed you have a happy and healthy 9 months ahead of you though!

Thank you all so much ladies. The cramps have gotten worse and I can barely get out of bed. The spotting has got heavier and although it was quite watery it was definitely very red yesterday. I am pretty sure I’ve lost it again. I still had a positive test yesterday but I’ll wait to take one in a few days to confirm.

Oh no I'm so sorry you think you've lost it. I really hope you haven't, its still possible. x

So sorry to hear that. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. x

Oh, I’m sorry to hear this. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed that the little bean has held on
