Hii everyone im new to this so bare with me lol! Me and my partner have been trying for 4 YEARS!!! With no sign of look, im at rock bottom now and dont no what to do, would love to find someone in my situation! x

Hi wcd, you must feel so frustrated. Have you ever been to your doctor to have any tests to see why you havent managed to conceive yet? That may be the best option for you. Lots of us in here are in the process of having various tests, and you can find loads of info on what to expect. Good luck hun, and try to stay positive

Hii, we've both had tests ive had x-rays, blood tests, examinations and all said im fine, my partners had sperm tests and shows a low count and low motility, its frustrating tho as he has a son from previous relationship whos 6, im 21 and my partner is 25 so know its not the end of the line but every month the dreaded enemy arrives and more parts of me fall away and now i feel like an empty shell which each month knows whats coming. thank you for replying x

Could you be considered for IVF due to your partners low count and motility? Have you tried a change of diet to see if it helps?

They have never mentioned it, doctors just keep saying dont worry about it and keep trying and that we're both young and it will happen- its frustrating though i feel im getting no answers or explanations, its annoying! Just feel at a brick wall and not sure which way to turn. x

Hope you get the answers you're looking for. I think some of the ladies in here will be able to offer you some good advice.

The section about men on NHS Choices website might help? http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Infertility/Pages/Causes.aspx It lists drugs that can affect sperm count and motility and lists other factors, such as smoking, alcohol, weight, etc, in case of any these apply.

Your GP should be able to tell you if your eligible for treatment on the NHS.

In my PCT i 'm not eligible for IVF due to heving a child from a prev realtionship and they told me that if it was the other way round and my partner had a child from a prev i wouldn't be eligible then too and i think that is shit!

It would be good to see about fertility help after 4 years i know you've had the tests but maybe your eligible for some 'extra' help

4 years is a long long time waiting for your miracle and i do hope your wait isn't much longer!

I no alot of people of have mentioned having scans on ovaries and that just to check and wondering why ive never had that done? Its so worrying ive got in my head there is something wrong with me and its my fault, my partners told me to ring my dr today for an appointment im just scared about doing it! xx

AWWWW don't be scared just think about it positively the soonber you call the sooner you can know and tackle things, i was relieved when i found out about my PCOS it eplained all my why's! and gave me focus on what was needed to be done! it will clear you rhead of worry even if there is something going on , without knowing you are worrying about EVERYTHING and cant narrow it down , and tbh you could be worrying about nothing and the worry won't do you any good at all! Honestly it was the best thing i did finding out and then things and help moves quickly. I pusehd to get my scan because something didn't feel right and i had an instinct ! i promise its nothing to worry about! the scan is fine , i really panicked about that one then after wondered why and its because of the unknown! x x x

With you finding out yiu had pcos did you have any symptoms or anything if dont mind me asking? My oh being so supportive hes rang the doctors and we're waiting for a call back so fingers crossed! You are totally right though about worrying, all i have in my head is that i cant get pregnant and never will and keep saying its me thats the problem! My oh has low sperm and low motility do you or anyone know if it could actually be just down to this? He also had varicouse veins which he had operated on towards the end of last year! i just felt odd panicky etc , then just couldnt get pregnant periods were ok and very regular alomst to the minute , then all of a sudden they stopped and i thought i was pregnant kept testing then af arived 7 weeks later , then dissappeared for 6 months , i never got offered a scan and blood tests were normal apparently , then i went in because sorry if TMI but it hurt like a stabbing pain after intercourse and i couldn't sit down , a nice registrar doc sent me for a scan and my ovaries both have many cysts. The motility theres a few women here that know more about than me , really do you have the whole readings for your OH count ?

Whats tmi? Lol sorry im new to all the short terms im learning, i went to my doctors about painfull intercourse id get shooting pains in my stomach didnt really notice any pain after intercourse though, he gave me a not very nice examination but said everything seemed and felt fine, and lately i havent really noticed any pain. My periods seem ok i think ive had 3 this year though that have been about 6days late but i get obvious signs-cramping and sore boobs a week or so before. We have print offs from doctors with his results, hes got to do another test though to see if the operation for his veins has helped. x
