Help me please!!!

I have just come home from work in floods of tears after going to the loo and finding that Im bleeding! I dont know what to do. I havent even been to see the doctor yet to tell him about my pregnancy, so I have just called them now and a doctor is going to call me back. I never bleed when I was pregnant with Noah so Im assuming the worst. What should I do? Im only 5 weeks, whold they sent me for a scan to find out or is it to early, I hate this and I cant stop crying.

I know this is easier said than done but sit down with a drink & catch your breathe .... Wait for the doctor to ring you they should send you to the early pregnancy unit!

Thanks Rach, Doc just called back trying to put me at ease saying it could be cervical erosion and stuff, Im not suffering any pain or craps at the moment which she said is a good sign. And just because I didnt bleed ata ll with Noah doesnt mean that this pregnancy would be the same. She is calling the hospital now to get me booked in for a scan and is going to call back. Trying to calm down a little, but very scarey, Im concerned about the amount of blood, I dont know how much is normal for pregnancy bleeding.

Right I have an appintment for a scan at the early pregnancy unit but its not till Tuesday!!! cause otherwise its jst to early for them to tell. OH has just spoken to his boss and got the day off work and his boss told him how his wife had periods for the first few months of 2 of her 4 pregnancies. I have been told to rest up in the mean time, so I will tell work I wont be going in. I hate the fact I have to wait for so long!!!

Thats reasuring, It helps to hear that other people have experienced similar and everything been okay. I have been looking on the net for information and found that a reason for bleeding can be that their is not enough of the pregnancy hormone to stop you from having a period. And the first three tests I did were fait lines which indicate there is not a lot of the HCG hormone, and you dont know either way with digital tests. Plus doing physical things can cause bleeding and when I was pregnant with Noah I used to drive to work and sit at a desk in an office all day, where as now I cycle to work and am on my feet all day. So Im trying to stay positive.

Sami did they ever tell you what was causing the bleeding? and also sorry for the question but how much did you bleed, I dont know how much is normal?

sorry i did forget to say i had period for 1st 2 months of my pregnancy with kai, didnt find out i was pg till my 20th week!

The lining of my uterus was coming away with Damien. I bled anything from light to heavy, and had cramps sometimes too.
With the 3 m/c's I've had the lines were all feint early too, but I never knew about the period thing. Could be why I lost them all so early.

Thinking of you Cat and hoping for the best, as you can see many people have had early bleeding and have gone on to have healthy pregnancys. Its a good sign that you don't have any cramps. Could it be implantation bleeding, many people mistake this for a period.

fingers crossed for u cat i bleed until 12 weeks with hannah too had an early scan at 7 weeks and they could not tell me y so try not to worry

So sorry to hear your troubles honey, hope everything is ok..it seems quite common to bleed so hopefully its nothing..
Couldnt you take a HPT tomorrow morning 1st waters to tell? Or would it still detect The PG hormone after a m/c?
