HELP! Facebook 'poking'

What does it mean when somebody pokes you on Facebook?

I just got the shock of my life, an ex-boyfriend of mine (bloody ARSEHOLE he was) just 'poked' me!

How did he find me? I'm on there with my married name.......

What do I do, can I just delete it??

i think you can just click on ignore hun, I HATE it when people do it to me -it just annoys me!

Do you have your high school or anything listed? Cos I know you can search for people by where they went to school, age etc - could be that?

I know when I first joined I had my married name but had my maiden name somewhere in my profile and I would still come up if someone searched my maiden name!

Where it tells you you have a poke there is the option to remove it just underneath the poke. Its to let you know they are there and you can see their profile for a month but he wont see yours unless you poke him back or unless you dont have the security on it.

It felt really creepy to be poked by somebody from my past like that. No, didn't like it at all!

I've been through my security settings now, and I deleted the poke......
