Does anyone know how to delete a Facebook account? I never use it and my email inbox is full everyday of "You've been poked", "You've got a drink", "You've Been smacked with a wet fish","You've got friends who ahve nothing better to do with their time at work but p**s around on Facebook"
It's driving me mad Tried to alter the email settings but I'm still getting them.

you have to sign in to facebook, and at the top it will say PRIVACY, ACCOUNT , LOG OUT.
you click on the account bit and some where in there it should say deactivate click on that and it will ask for a reason why you wish to deactivate.

If you prefer you can select what emails you want to receive, you dont have to get all the emails saying you have been poked etc
