Hi Im new to tri 2, I was wondering if anyone knew how maternity pay/ leave works if you only work part time, and when everyone is going to start their maternity leave, Im only 14 weeks but planning ahead!!

I think it also depends on your employer, they're all different.

Welcome to Trimester 2 - enojy it

Normally you get maternity pay from your employer depending on how long you have worked there before you leave. You get so many weeks, and then SMP, statutory pay kicks in, if you want to take upto 1 year off, then you get a period of no pay later on. Hubbys can also get upto 2 weeks pay, but can be less than there normal pay
