I just thought I'd start this as myself am concerned about weight gain and eating the right things in pregnancy

I have already gained a stone since March and I know that's not baby weight lol I lost over 3 stone after my miscarriage last year and um still 2 stone lighter than I was so I'm happy about that but with my last baby I put on 4 stone and I felt unhealthy

I'm a bit bad for thinking oh well I'm pregnant I can eat whatever I want!! But I need to try to be healthy and not eat so much junk food

I'll join. I eat so much junk even if it is mixed with healthy snacks. We had KFC for tea last night :oooo: usually start the day off good then get bored and start eating crap lol.
Last time I weighed myself I had only gained 1lbs because I lost 7 in the first and gained back 8. I'm quite pleased with that but I'm assuming most weight will be in the third tri! I've lost weight from other area's of my body. My wedding rings are loose, my collar bones stick out more than ever and can see my cheek bones again.. I don't know how I'm losing it, I eat when I'm hungry and kinda obsessed with haribo tangfastics lmao.

I'm in. Need some healthy snack ideas!! I'm sorry but sometimes carrot sticks just don't cut it! Ha x
 
Haha. I love carrot sticks! Cucumber sandwiches are number 1 for lunch atm.

What do you ladies eat for breakfast? Struggling with healthy ideas. End up having toast, or cereal with and apple.
 
Hi, I am in .

Unfortunately since I got pregnant I am craving only unhealthy food , mostly fast food. I am also eating loads of fruits and veggies daily , however I need to cut the bad stuff as I put a lot of weight and I am only 18 weeks ( 7 kg). I have always used to eat less and healthy to maintain my weight but since I got pregnant I was wanted to enjoy everything I wanted. My plan is not to put more that 5 kg until the end and that means to eat only healthy
 
I have muesli with strawberries and nuts- it's this 'make your own' sugar free one. My weakness is bread, and nutella!! Need a sweet fix after my meals so end up having a rich tea with nutella on. I also end up starving in between meals so that's where I need to focus! It's so hard.
 
Well I was doing well today just had a salad for lunch, until I got home today. ..then I've had a bag of popcorn bag of crisps crisps and 2 baked potatoes with butter cheese and beans ...I need to stop eating lol
I get so hungry on an evening ;)

I crave bad food McDonald's KFC and takeaways

Gail, apparently the ovia app can connect with my fitness pal. I keep seeing people say about it on the ovia community but I've not been able to.

I had loads of maccies and kfc when we first got preg, cos the oven broke and then we had to move! I did fk my diet off before this pregnancy to when I lost my pregnancy in November I was eating very badly and working at subway didn't help ahaha. I gained about 5lbs back from what I lost originally. Have to go for my Gtt next month so hoping my eating habits havn't ruined me!! X
 
I'm went off Mfp becaise i had a bit od hassle on there but then went back on, just use it now and again I do forget to log my food
Funny that your oven broke as mine has too!! It's been broken for 3 weeks but we still have a microwave and hob so managing ok

Do they do the Gtt test at 16 weeks then Deedee?

oh btw in other news I booked my 16 week scan for next week and just realised this morning that I'll only be 15+1 lol need to ring them today !!

Gail, are you finding out the gender?

Yeah, I don't use it much now I'm pregnant. Gonna use it after wanna loose all the weight I put on but slowly cos I wanna breast feed. Xx
 
Hi! I just registered to this site, and I am trying to prepare my mind and body into having a baby. We are ttc for 2 months now.

Is it really safe to you the microwave during pregnancy?
