Head circumference 91st centile!

Hi ladies,

I don't know what to think if I'm honest and you guys have heloed me so much up to yet that I thought I'd hat see others experiences and opinions....

Those of you that know me know Jacobs story and we've not had the easiest time so far, well last week when Jacob had his 12 week jabs, I also saw the health visitor for Jacob's measurements, (which they track back to his corrected age) well Jacob's measurements came up as follows

Head circumference 91st centile
Weight 25th centile
Length isn't even on the scale, so less than 4th centile.

I'm not sure if i'm more concerned about the head circumference being so large or about his length being so low!

H's head is on he 91st centile I think (well was a while ago so assume its the same) but he has a double crown, cud be the same with our lo?? BAbies come in all shapes and sizes from my experience, must mean your lo is extra clever with a massive brain!! lol!!

Lets hope so, I know it can be a sign of water on the brain, autism and other things, I might be worry over nothing but at the same time Jacob's even through alot and it's something else on us. It seems that our little boy is gonna keep us on our toes bless him.

I dont know.hun but hope its nothing. My lo's head was measured like once so.i wouldnt know even.

I think that is a good policy!! H is measured everywhere coz he is such an odd shape (very tall and thin with a big head) He is perfectly healthy but you cud worry!!

Toby's head circumference is 96th percentile but the Dr nor the health visitor have ever been concerned. He's also off the chart now for his length but is 50th for weight. I don't think it's anything to be worried about, we're just going to have brainy kids xx

The reason try wanna measure every 2 weeks is because to scale in comparison to the rest of his measurements it's dramatically bigger, fingers crossed its nothing.

No one even told me that big head was linked to any problems! Lyssie's head has always been big Even in growth scans they said she'd need big hats
She's got her 12 week check tomorrow but I don't imagine there will be any change proportionally, she just has a naturally big head. She's fine developmentally. I just tell everyone big head = big brains

I wouldn't worry about it hon xx

Thanks, I just needed to vent more than anything, couldn't keep it locked up inside! It just seems to be one thing after another with my poor little man. For those of you that do know mine and Jacob's story you'll know what I mean, those who don't feel free to read my journal in my signature x x

my lil man had a comparatively large head but hes grown in to it lol and now looks proportionate!!

Try not to worry my Lgs head is on the 91st, weight on the 9th and length on the 50th
I was left Worrying for weeks after being the list of it could be autisum etc before we eventually got told its nothing to worry about

My LOs head is on the 98th centile! But it runs in the family lol x

U think it would be easier bit to worry if it wasn't for his length not even being at the 0.4 centile line and his weight only being between 9th & 25th.

But deffo trying not to worry

If there are any concerns Hun they will send him for an MRI x

My younger brothers head circumference was off the chart! He went for an MRI and was fine...there was also concern because there were noticeable gaps between the plates in his skull x he is now a happy, healthy and very s art 13 year old!x.
