I feel sick with worry at the moment. I just got back from my LOs 9 month medical appointment and everything was fine, apart from chest infection which hes got (more) antibiotics for  Health visitor didnt mention anything when he was weighed and measured, then she held onto my book and passed it to the doctor when we were called through. I asked her about his weight and she said hes still following 25th centile so hes doing well. I didnt think to ask anything else. The doctor checked him and filled in his book said everything was fine.

well Ive just been looking in the book and his head circumfrence has dropped from 75th centile at his 6 week check to 9th centile today.:eh: The health visitor filled it in on the doctors form and circled it so Im really worried that the doctor didnt notice that bit. His length is on 50th centile and weight on 25th which is pretty much following the typical curves for him. Im really worried cos its such a big drop but I dont know what head circumfrence indicates, I know it must be significant in something or they wouldnt measure it?!

Why didnt they mention it, does anyone know what it is an indicator of? my LO is developing really well so I havent had any worries..... until now! does it mean his brain isnt growing?!

Can someone answer quick cos I dunno if I can fight the urge to google! :(

No advice Im afraid Hun Tegans has been measured at every hospital appointment But Im a bad mummy and don't what Centile it is off to check now x

okay panic over, I just rang the health visitor as shes back in the office from 3.15 and she'd plotted the percentile wrong, hes on 75th centile  good god, I nearly had a breakdown over that!

Glad all is well. Just looked in Oscars red book and I remembered he was measured at birth, then again at 6 week check, then some random hospital thing we went to but only one of these has been recorded in his red book so I don't even know what my son's HC was at birth!! Wonder if there is a way to find out?!

Wow, only just seen this, stupid HV! I do wonder sometimes...C's red book states that he wS 3500kg when born

 you did very well giving birth then!!

mine also says in my first HV appointment "breastfeeding going well" erm  at no point was I able to fully breastfeed AND the next entry is by the specialist Bfing support worker

I know! I officially gave birth to a 3.5 tonne baby! Just goes to show it's all just about getting boxes ticked...I know they're super busy, but surely it's more time efficient to just do it right once rather than having to go over everything twice? Hmmph!

On the heal prick test is says Tegan is male, i never knew i gave birth to a boy! x
