Found a fly in a tin of scottish raspberries... never bought/ate any of them again!
And once while eating a tasty vegan chocolate spread sandwich (in the dark under a tree - was camping), an earwig dropped onto it and went in my mouth. I didn't eat chocolate for at least half a year after that so in some ways maybe it was good for me!! Ewww
not me personally, but my younger sister once got a piece of scrap metal in a bite of rhubarb pie from aulds the bakers about 10 years ago.
Mum went mental and got food standards involved and it was confirmed to be part of a bit of machinery from somewhere that had been sliced (god knows) or fallen off...
Aulds gave her £5000 and free cakes for a year
Can't help thinking if this had happened now there wuld have been MUCH more of a to-do about it. My sister was only 8 or so at the time, so just as well she didn't swallow it by accident! x
