Boss' wife just asked me if I will be coming back to work after having a child. ?!?!?

They have no idea I'm PG (well at least I haven't told them) I've never even mentioned having children. Infact I've always grimaced when the subject is brought up and mumbled something about smelly nappies and sleepless nights.

She is one of these whose totally lost her identity since having children and thinks a womans only roll in life is to give birth and look after their men, so maybe she thinks I think like that too.

I replied that it's not something that i have even considered (with a rather perplexed look on my face - Ha! That'll fool them!)

The hilarious thing is she will be covering part of my job when I go on maternity leave in May and in my head I've been rehearsing my 'I'm Pregnant' speech.

So girls: Do you think they have guessd? The only signs are decaff tea and coffee sneaked in the back of the kitchen cupboard, my bloating so much I've swollen up like Augustus Gloop (sp) and my subtle switch from sky-scrapper heels to flats to ease my chronic back ache!

Maybe they've been checking your web page history on your work PC after you've left and seen you've been on here? Or maybe she thinks you might be pg and is trying to get it out of you?

They're going to find out soon enough anyway!

Now I think about it its not a bad thing I guess, at least it won't be such a shock!

However if she shouts 'I KNEW IT' like every other freaking know-it-all we've told I'll chin her!

Well then! If she does know why the hell did she just watch me carry a heavy box without offering to help. I struggle with this box without having a back ache (not that I've said I have a back ache but if she 'knows' I PG why didn't she offer to help??)
