Has my 1st IVF cycle failed?

I am 6dp a 5dt and last night I started with period cramps, quite intense but went away, followed by brown discharge this am which is now looking more red and my backache is just like when my AF arrives, I think this is my AF coming but I am still on progesterone twice daily?? I just don't feel pregnant I feel like I am getting AF. Feeling so low, everything went so well... 3 years and still not a mummy I just don't understand and I am sick of having to pick myself up off the floor and sick of wishing my life away and constantly thinking about TTC, I just can't see myself ever accepting that I won't be a mummy because this has always been the one thing in life I have wanted more than anything else!

Going to start looking into adoption

I wish i knew if we had any frozen embryos but still not heard anything

Sorry you're going through this Lou... my ivf cycle was the same, by day 14 after collection af turned up like that. I left it a couple days to test and then on testing day a few days after... in total I was using progesterone for 19days and still didnt warn off af! Hang in there xx

Oh no. When's your official testing day? You might still be ok? IVF pregnancies do bleed apparently. x

Not until Sunday!! Still spotting turned redder and with a few clots, still got the backache so must be AF!

Just don't understand why we can't get pregnant!! Even when sailed through all the ivf hurdles, it's just not fair!

Oh I'm so sorry to read this. IVF are definitely more prone to bleeding for some reason, have you tested at all? Xx

Tested tonight and it's negative, I know it's my period, just don't understand why so early and why when I have been on progesterone??? Hubby now says I should have rung the clinic as progesterone dose maybe not high enough, I don't know, nothing makes sense in this whole thing, sick of it

Its so gutting when it all goes well until the implantation. How much progesterone are you on?

I am on 200mg cyclogest twice daily, phoned the clinic today and I have to keep taking them and still do a test on Sunday. We have 2 6 day embryos in storage so that's good.

That's excellent about the 2 frozen embies hon, I know it doesn't make up for this cycle but it's a little something to focus on isn't it xx

I'm so sorry hon, it is so tough when you go through the whole process and it doesnt happen, big hugs and huge positive that you have a couple of embies waiting for you xxx

So sorry but good news about the frozen embryos. Frozen cycles can be more successful apparently because you're not still full of oestrogen from stims.
Its such a tough time when you think its all over but there's still hope and more waiting. X x
