.. Or know anyone who has.
The kind of pregnancy where you didn't know you were pregnant until after a very long while into your pregnancy.
Where pregnancy tests wouldn't pick up you're pregnant because your hcg levels are way too low to detect. Or it's pain that has sent you into hospital and from there you discover you're pregnant

I don’t really believe in these cryptic pregnancy’s to be honest and I’ve seen in the news a lot of gynaes/obstetricians saying it doesn’t happen either, but I’m referring more to the ones where the woman is insistent she’s been pregnant for months and months before anything could be seen on a scan or saying she’s pregnant even when blood tests come back negative etc, either they got their dates totally wrong or they were not pregnant when the doctor was telling them they weren’t pregnant, healthy/normal pregnancies adhere to same pattern of releasing amounts of hcg into blood/urine, which is then picked up by a pregnancy test quite quickly, if hcg isn’t rising to a certain pattern the pregnancy usually isn’t going to progress, I’ve seen stuff in the media where the woman has been scanned and blood tests done etc and no sign of a pregnancy but the woman is insistent she’s having a cryptic pregnancy, I don’t think that really happens in reality! X

Yeah I'm not really sure what to think. I've known people in situations where they didn't know they were pregnant until 5 months, possibly because of irregular periods. But also people who got pregnant on implant and found out through the pain they're having that they are pregnant. I'm mainly relating to that rather than what's on the media. I don't know how much of these cryptic pregnancies can be true.

99.9 % of pregnant women who are between 4.5 - 11(ish) weeks pregnant will get a positive home pregnancy test result, after around 11 weeks hcg can actually go too high to be picked up by some home pregnancy tests but a blood test at the doctors would most certainly pick it up and a scan would definitely pick it up

If someone thinks they are pregnant, less then 12 weeks or so but over 4-5 weeks, and getting negative tests, they are most likely not pregnant, if they thought they were over 12 weeks they could ask a doctor to run some tests which will say conclusively if they are pregnant or not x

I used to work with a woman that didn’t know she was pregnant and went to the hospital with stomach pains and told she was in labour, came back with a baby. Not one of us believed she didn’t know. we kept saying to her are you sure your not pregnant. She refused point blank and wouldn’t test. The baby was big as well so no idea how she thinks she didn’t feel anything. Really odd. I don’t believe it all myself.

Yeah she was a bit overweight and not to offend anyone. She’s was getting a lot bigger around the stomach area that’s why we kept saying. She had morning sickness but she kept saying it was a bug. I think it was just denial x
