I did on the first day my baby was born. In fact, i let the nurse do it for me. I kinda though "omg shes milking me!?!?"
Did the mw show you, or give you any info? Its not to hard hun.
Contrary to popular belief you can express before baby it arrives, its ok!

Hi Serenity, do you mean with a manual pump or other?

hope you don' mind me asking, whay can't you express after baby?

no actually with your hand to get things starting as there not much to start with . im having another section and my body doesnt take shock to well i took a week with my last one for milk to come in and may have to have some meds this time which may not be bf suitable and i also dont want to bf fully

I've been hand expressing as i'm REALLY sore on one side - it's surprisingly easy and efficient once you get the hang of it. I prefer it to using my pump :-) Can get a good 30-50ml in 15 mins! lol x

I had to express as LO couldnt feed in the hospital. I hadnt done any preparation for it, and i was more tired than I have ever been in my life and I managed it with the help of a midwife. She was 'milking me' and I fell asleep at one point, she had to wake me up

 thats a familiar story for me too!
