Hallowe'en do not disturb poster!

we get mainly kids over the age of 10 who come on their own. I don't give to them just to the younger ones. However I don't allow paris to go trick or treating as I too was brought up thats it's begging.

I've put a poster on the door saying no trick or treat. Last year i had 14+ yr olds knocking on my door and i just cant be bothered with them this year. I don't agree with trick or treating. Ewan wont be allowed to do it but i won't mind him going to parties.

we're lucky we live in a small village - the younger children go round in groups with a parent and only to houses with pumpkins as a sign that the people are happy for them to call - we've had 8 groups so far - my children 5,4 and 2 are a bit young to go out yet but are enjoying opening the door and handing out the goodies.

my mum lives alone in a town and I have told her to close her curtains and ignore the door.

Well i'm feeling very proud of my 'hood. The goodies have been out there 4 hours and the security light has come on at least 6 times and there is still no sign of the treats being taken for granted! I've even heard mummies telling their little ones to be quiet as the baby is sleeping - aw!

What good ghoulies!

I love it! Had quite a few, all the kids in my village make a real effort and look great. They all come round with their parents and we put a pumpkin out. :cheer: I love halloween, can't wait to take Dan round.
