Had to goto hospital cause of pains :(

Hey all, well I was having mild pains all weekend, then on tues they got worse, so rang the midwife and she sent me to the assesment unit. They monitored me and I wasnt having contractions. But the senior consultant seen me and done a scan and said the baby was engaged. Then he did an internal, and said my cervix was soft but was closed and far back. has anyone had this? Cause I thought when your cervix was soft and the baby's head was engaged that you werent too far from labour, and its too early for that. The doctor said that Im not in labour, but that I may or may not go into early labour. I started dilating with DD at 33 weeks and had her at 36 weeks xxx

hey hun x x ive not had this but just wanted to say not to panic if youve been assesed then at least if you think your in labour they will already have it in your notes and can do whats best for both of you x

i was told i may go into prem labour due to my cervix but im still holding on to LO x x x

Thanks chick, its just that sometimes you feel more confused coming out of the hospital than you do going in, although Im always worrying anyway haha xxx

I'd say if they are happy enough after assessing you then the risk is fairly low.
I'm at 2cm dilated after early labour, my cervix was thinning and 80% effaced with baby's head being 2/5ths engaged. Still hanging on in there 4 weeks later though x
