Gripe Water in the Newspaper.. Please read if you use it

Not sure which area to post this in. Thought it would answer a few questions people have over gripe water.

No wonder we couldnt find any! I went to four different chemists before i got fed up and just rang round from home instead. Managed to get it in a Lloyds Pharmacy in the end. I got 2 bottles, but i didnt realise there was any shortage i just thought not many places stocked it or something!

BTW is anyone else having real problems getting their baby to swallow it? I have tried suprising him with a syringe full or a gentle spooning it in, but he spits it right back out at me. Very deliberately too! And its sticky, i have had to change several times after trying to use it and now have given up......

I use a syringe, far too sticky to use a spoon xx

Olive, I used to mix it with her formula as she used to spit it straight back out but now I only give it her when she seems to be having a windy moment and use a syringe, I think she actually looks forward to it now as she seems to get excited when I first put the syringe in her mouth lol

Aylissia spits it out as well and we use a little syringe. Not found a fool proof way of giving it her yet. Tried it in some cool boiled water and you would of thought I had given her poision the look of digust on her face just before she spat it back at me. We peservere with it cos its really helping her.

At the risk of sounding incredibly stupid what is griping pain and how do you know if your lo has it? X

Its just the name of the pains in babies tummies caused by gas ( I think anyhow ) I did have to google it myself and thats the answer it came up with x

Does it help for farting as well as wind?
