Hey ladies.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this??

Well after a few weeks of what i would of thought was heavy discharge/mucus, I woke up this morning to find a big blob of Jelly like sustance with a slight green tinge in colour. I tried ringing my midwife a good few times this morning but to no avail, I rang my doctors to see if they could ask a midwife to ring me back but the only available time they had was 12 oclock and i was meant to start work at 11 oclock so my OH thought it was best that maybe i just rang the hospital for a bit of advice and take it from there.

After speaking to the delivery ward the midwife said that she thinks i need checked out so she put me through to the pregnancy assesment unit and the lady was lovely. She asked me a few questions about babys movements and pains and what not. She also asked me if i have been feeling well in myself, Which i have not... I got sent home from work on Wednesday with bad stomach and migraine and was still poorly all day yesterday. So i told her i hadnt been my usual self. So basically she wants me to go through and get examined to see whats going on in there. She said it could just be an infection or such like but she wants me checked out as it could be other things.

So i have an appointment at 2.30pm to get swabs taking. I am hoping and praying that everythings going to be ok.

(looks like another day off work for me... not good when your trying to save but my health and babys health is our main priority)

Thanks for reading.....
Amy xx

Oh ur poor thing. It does sound like an infection so hopefully they can get u started on something and u will feel as right as rain in no time xxxx

Hope everything goes well, its best to get checked out, and if its an infection should be easily treated. Good luck xxx

Aww hope you feel better soon and that everything goes okay! They can be such a nightmare to get hold of sometimes too! I'm sure they'll get you fixed in no time :) x x

oh no huni, i'm sure its noting to worry about they are just beind cautious! xxxxx

It sounds like you may have lost your mucus plug very early, in which case the worst case senario is that they will want to put a stitch in to prevent your cervix from opening

you have got this really early on so dont worry, they know what they are doing and are good at this sort of thing. My mum had a weak service and needed to be stitched but she had three healthy and happy babies. She also knew exactly when she was going to go into labour because they undid the stitch and she went into labour naturally a week later each time!

let us all know how you get on xx
