Got my Doctors appointment this afternoon

At 2.30pm been putting it off in the hopes I get a bfp on my own. Went to see the nurse for my smear on Friday and she was lovely told me that I should have come back once I'd had my day21's done in February it takes 6months for appointment to come through. I didn't realise as I just rang receptionist for my results and checked Google for what's results meant (which is how I found Pregnancy Forum in the first place, anyway she told me the first thing Dr will say is lose weight, which I've started to try to do again she has agreed to weigh me every 4 weeks but stressed that I need to make a doctor appointment now.
She also reminded me that time is not on my side which I obviously already know. She was really helpful, so anyway off to the doctors I go, will update later

Do you mind me asking how much you weigh? How much weight you need to lose. ust wondering if they will say I will need to lose weight too! Also how old are you again?
I have hospital appt in a cple of weeks too. xxxx

Hiya Corrine in 42 will be 43in March. And I'm totally obese. Need to lose at least 100lbs at get me back into a healthy bmi XXX

Good luck Daisy, Docs should help with weightloss programms with nhs referrals, ask about it you should get help if you go to the gym or classes. They do it in s.wales, my colleague went and returned to a normal bmi.good luck!xxx

6 month until what though? I agree that it seems like a long time for anything in terms of diagnostics... maybe for IVF but your a bit off that yet.

2.30 I'm sitting in waiting room now, I think its 6 months referral to consultant waiting time, pathetic really as I came to see them in February x

I feel so happy I could cry. The doctor was lovely and has referred us to the fertility specialist at Chester. Also got day 2 & day 21 bloods booked and hubby picks up the forms tomorrow for his sample analysis, I actually cried with relief, I asked if its true it takes 6 months for an appointment and she smiled and said you will hear a lot sooner as you are over 40 and don't have time to wait, also she gave me antibiotics for an.ear infection I have, I feel as though a weight has been lifted x
