Good news finally!

Bills sorted out! OH went CAB and he is doing a debt relief order he only has to pay £90 and he is debt free in a year I am in arrears by quite alot with our water so i am doing the same! Can't believe you can actually do this...no catches! Least we are on our way to getting sorted before the baby is here...my first happy post in AGES Thanks for your support on this girls xxx

Yay! That must be a huge weight off your mind.
Did you know about water sure? you can get 1 water bill written off no matter how much it is. I got in to debt with my water was over £1000 i paid £5 as agreed was the max i could afford then they wrote it off.

That's great news Shauna, what a weight off your mind! I had debt problems about 6 years ago and ended up going bankrupt - it was the best thing I ever did!! CAB and local debt advice centres provide an invaluable service (can't believe Cameron is cutting their funding in the middle of a recession when people need them more than ever!). It's amazing how companies won't accept a low repayment rate if you ring them yourselves but as soon as a debt worker contacts them they finally are willing to negotiate! xxx

Yeah ss79, as long as the debt is less than 15k which OH owes 10k maybe...if it wasn't for them we would be paying it off for the rest of our life lol.
