Just thought id see how everyones doing??

How prepared is everyone?? I actually feel pretty prepared

general stuff really, i have pretty much everything i need now, thanks to ebay and nearly new sales.
I have been given bagloads of clothes by everyone, so im almost sorted in that dept.
My nan and grandad went to a nearly new sale on sat just gone, and im going round there later to see what theyve picked up. apparently they got loads of stuff which is exciting! cant wait to see it all!
OH's mum has knitted 2 cardigans which is cool!
I seriously think i have everything, even down to a floating bath thermometer how sad am i?! all bargains off ebay. breast pads too, you name it i have it
Oh's parents are buying our pushchair, we are going for a play in the next 3 weeks. i have my heart set on the Graco Symbio which is stocked at toys r us so heading to croydon to try it out! cannot wait!
On the medical side, im off to the docs later to get a cure for my thrush, and ive developed terribly itchy fingers that are really looking quite dry and cracked, so gonna try some cream for that.
cannot believe its nearly october, seriously not long left for most!!

Can i just ask how many size 1 nappies people are buying?? I have like 4 packs of 27 - 40 in each pack. i know this isnt nearly enough, but i got given lots by a friend who's baby grew out of size 1 and she had like shed loads, so not too sure how mad to go really. Just picking up bargains really whenever i see nappies on sale!

Im really getting in the swing of xmas too which is just rediculous at the end of september, but i really am not a keen shopper like out in town and stuff, so just going to ebay quite a bit for everyone, at least when i have organised all that i will be able to concentrate on decorating and getting house ready!

Decided the other day i havent actually got enough room for OH's clothes for when he moves in so going to head to ikea to grab another chest of drawers.

Oh and PS how much newborn sizes are people grabbing? i seriously dont know how long they last in that size so havent got loads of newborn. any hints or tips on anything greatly appreciated

well you sound v organized, im ordering everything at the weekend from work (mamas n papas) ive been planning what to buy for months n got it sorted. Not bought much in newborn tbh as as you say not sure how long hell be in them. clothes are the only real thing we need now. We are currently decorating the living room, stairs n landing done, kitchen just needs fresh coat of paint then starting nursery in november which i cant wait for to start putting things in. All exciting n I feel great at the mo xx

I have everything bought in my head and i am just waiting for my 20 week scan next week before i actually go out and buy it.

we are doing our nursery at the moment
we have bought some nappies (not NEARLY enough), talcum powder, baby wipes, cotton buds, towels and the like, blankets, a few onesies that I couldn't resist and socks, not too bad but need to get a move on really X

I haven't bought a great deal...I've only bought 1 outfit,3 vests and 3 sleepsuits in newborn cos I tend to have big babies so pointless me buyin too much. again with nappies I've only ever bought 1-2 packs cos if I need more il just get dh to buy some more lol xxx

I have to admit, I have now got 13 packs of newborn nappies! I got 4 free on offer in starter packs with vouchers and then have picked up an own brand pack (24 in pack) each time I went food shopping - had to stop as run out of storage space for now!

I do have newborn mostly, bodys from carboots and babygrows I mostly brought, but some of them come up really big when you get them out and look at them. This is only because my babies are usually only upto around 7lb, or smaller, so they tend to wear them for a good while - you watch I have a hunch this one is gonna be the biggest yet, bet I get 8-9lber ! and catch me out - ha ha ha I will take a 0-3 babygrow into hosp just incase!

blimey u r organised! i love ebay to i sold everyhting of my daughters on there<wish i hadnt now!! dont go crazy with newborn stuff, it doesnt last long at all! just buy a few different sizes!- dont splash out ln lots of outfits just stick with sleep suits/onesies ect..cuz they go through loads with sick an poo!!
just invest in a real nice snowsuit if a winter baby xx

I'm so totally not even slightly prepared! Haha!
We're moving house before baba is born, so we're trying not to collect much beforehand!

Although we do have quite a few bits, come to think of it....

a "precious planet" newborn-to-toddler rocker [hand-me-down gift]
3 tommee tippee closer-to-nature bottles [gift]
teeny nail scissors
2 avent orthadontic dummies
only 1 pack of nappies so far!
2 little coats, one 0-3mnths, on 3-6mnths
a few sleepsuits/bodysuits in 0-3
one cute little outfit in newborn
scratch mittens
2 moses basket fitted sheets

Aaaaand I think that's it for now, I don't remember!

Swinging Crib another friend at work
6 Packs Newborn Nappies 4 packs of size 3
TT Steriliser Unit
Various Cloths £10 off of Ebay (all new or nearly new)
Loads of 3-6 mth cloths off of OHs parents
Knitted Cardigans and things from Mum and Friends
Walking Pram i.e not the type you can check in the car unless you drive a tank lol
Bath set and hooded towels.
Oh yes Blankets and cardies and things I have crocheted.
Paint to give the room a lcik of paint because it looks old.

Ooooo that list doesn't look too bad lol.

Haven't got too much yet, as we don't have anywhere to store it, need to have a proper tidy and move around before getting stuff.

Got monitor, 2 baby grows and 2 cardies knitted by MiL. That's really rubbish isn't it!! We're normally so organised!!!

Maybe this week I should get on with tidying!

thanks for replies girls! god my post was long :/ i didnt mean it to sound too selfish haha, glad everyones well on their way in their own ways of getting stuff ready. yesterday i popped round my nan and grandads house. i walked into the living room to a baby bouncer with a mobile thing, a tommee tippee nappy bin (will post a different thread on tips on how to use as i have no idea!!) a new cot bumper, 3 fitted cotton cot matress sheets, and some girly jumpers 3-6 months!! i was well chuffed with these things! i then went to visit a friend and she gave me a new snow suit 0-3, 2 thick coats, some newborn babygrows (which is great because i wasnt going to buy any, now i have plenty to last me til baby is in 0-3) some tiny baby long sleeve tops (they will come to hospital) and some trousers, vests and stuff like that!! soo kind!! i basically dont have to buy any more clothes, which is quite a money saver for me. love it!! x

WOW your so organized

Well i have some baby clothes which parents and friends have got me which are all netural colours so when i get paid im gonna get some pink new born clothes.My mum is getting me a pram for christmas we both saw one in mothercare for £300 and she has fallen in love with it at the moment we are house hunting which is so hard our limit £400 odd a month.

Because my OH dosent want to get anything for the baby till she is born i have to get it myself and hide it lol i know pretty sad but i think hes being old fashioned

So i havent actually got much but in the next few months im gonna picking things up because i aint rushin around trying to get everything oh i do have a moses basket my cuz has given it me i just need a new mattress etc.

i decided to give in and buy some little bits today so got a sleep suit and 7 vests im getting given anything big and from the sounds of things i really need to get a move on with everything else. On a good note i.ve started helping at a mothers and todlers group and have started getting to know some mummys one who is due only a couple of weeks after me xxx

always great to meet fellow pregnant people or people that have babies as they are always open to helping you out!! lol.
I personally want to have everything for when baby is here as i really cannot think of anything worse than shopping after baby is born, especially judging by last years weather in january, i really just want everything in place so when i get home i can just reach and grab rather than stress, just the way i think!! x
