ok so i know i said i was gonna pack my hospital bag a couple of weeks ago but i didn't have some bits i needed so didn't bother. i now have everything but can't pack it cos it's freaking me out.

im sitting on the sofa looking at the bags i got yesterday of maternity pads and nighties etc and just think i cant do it cos if i do it makes it all real and scarey that im gonna have a baby soon.

how stupid is that. nothing has freaked me out at all. im super excited but this has hit me like a smelly sock in the face.

god i need to get a grip. please tell me im not the only one. xxx

Don't worry! Everyone has those moments where realisation suddenly dawns on us. Leave it for today. Come back to it tomorrow and I guarantee you you will be packing up your bag and enjoying every minute.

Xx

i will do it in abit. just havent had the motivation the past week or so to do anything to be honest with everything going on. really need to do some housework. xxx

I keep having moments where realisation hits and I think, Oh my god I'm having a baby!! xx

I met up with my work mates at lunch today and was saying to them that at the weekend, I was with another friend and I said to her that for the past 8 months I've been fixated on my pregnancy and then all of a sudden it hit me that in a matter of weeks I am having a baby and that I'd not really thought about what happens once you've had a baby and he's going to be 100% dependant on me and OH!! I had a mini meltdown then!
It's weird how Ive just been concentrating on my pregnancy and have only just thought I'm going to have a baby at the end of it!

I have had a few moments like this too! Now I don't feel like its going to happen at all

I'm the same! I can't bring myself to do it, I've still gotta buy things for it! My midwife told me to pack it an take it with me last weekend coz I was going away to a wedding but I just put it off an then it was too late! Think I'm gonna buy the last bits this weekend an aim to do it next week xxx

iv'e done it. it only took 2 minutes as everything was in carrier bags ready. i still need to sort make up, and toiletries etc and book and snacks closer to the time but i am done.

also got daintons ready and put in a couple of socks, scratch mits, sleeveless vests, normal vests and sleepsuits. waiting for his coming home outfit to be delivered. hats and muslin nappies etc all packed though. no doubt i will unpack and re pack about 50 times. xxx

oh and is anyone needs cheap flip flops for hospital showers etc i got 2 pairs yesterday from primark for £2. the foam and jelly ones. xxx

Good call on the flip flops! I think I'll prob get a massive top from there to labour in...

Its ok hun when my daughter was born i didnt pack my bag till my waters started leaking i did it after calling the hospital at 4 am (i did leave some things behind by accident) wont be doing the same thing this time

I just re-packed mine today after typing and printing out a list complete with tick boxes for whether the thing has been packed at home and packed again at the hospital. I dont want to leave anything behind! I cant believe how heavy and full it is - i reckon I may have packed too much, but I would rather take too much than be short of something!

I havent found it scary yet - the whole thing doesn't feel real.

xx

lol. ive packed what i think is enough if it isnt or if i have to stay n longer oh can get more stuff. xxx

LOL i dont trust dh to get what I want. I'm a bit of a control freak! :)

xx
