Hi all...

I have been wondering about this for a few weeks but forgetting to ask. Ryan is on Cow and Gate milk, Follow-On milk which is the purple one with the 3 on.

In Superdrug, I have seen that they sell a number 4 milk which is suitable for 9 months plus. This seemed weird to me because I thought the next one up was for a year. Here's the one that I found in Superdrug, and bought cos I figured I'll use it eventually, and because it intrigued me.

According to the Cow and Gate website, these are their milks.

And there isn't a 9 month one, and the one I have looks very much like a 1 year one.

Have the rules changed regarding the ages on milks? Not sure whether I should wait this carton out, or give it him?!

The packaging of the 9mth+ milk looks different from the ones on the website - could C&G have discontinued the 9mth+ milk and replaced with 1yr+?

C&G changed their packaging recently - they removed their organic formula from their range at the same time. I would assume that they also removed the 9 month milk also, hence why its not on their webste. Superdrug prob just have old stock.

I think thats what they have done as you can use the stage 3 untill they are one. Stage 4 was always left on the shelves in asda when then others were low so maybe it didnt sell well. I know SIL tried it on both hers and said they wouldnt drink it so went back to 3 so maybe the rebranded it from 1yr to try and sell it more?

Random :D lol...

I know it's the old look packaging but it just seems a bit weird..

I assume if it says 9 months + then he should be ok on it, but I don't wanna be giving him 1 yr old milk if it's not right for him..!

jennywren I think the 4's don't sell very well because at 1 the parents probably see sense and use cows milk instead..
