When we first decided to try for a baby I was quite excited and made a simple ovulation chart to work out when the best times would be. I didn’t want to go overboard but got some ovulation sticks too, just to check that I was actually ovulating, because I was 38. I thought it would take about 3 months because I’m quite healthy (and young for my age) but printed off a whole year’s worth just in case. I bought some Folic acid tablets and thought there would be just enough in there prior to the pregnancy and for the first 3 months as they suggest.

However, I got to the end of my year’s chart and have had to start another one for another year, I never thought that would happen, L. Also I’ve nearly finished the 2nd pot of Folic acid and had to buy a 3rd pot! L. So disappointing.

I’ve now decided to try to carry on with my life as before without agonising about dates or when I shouldn’t be drinking. It’s easy for people to say relax and don’t stress, but I’ve only just got to the point where I can say “what the hell” and mean it a little bit!

Hang in there hun! You're doing what's best giving it a rest for a while. Maybe your body just needs a break from the stress. :) who knows it may very well happen when you're not trying so hard to make it happen. :) xx
