So the doctor reckons i should get a flu jab, what are our thoughts on this ladies?

xx

p.s where do i get a ticker from?

xx

I kept meaning to get my flu jab done, then just kept forgetting. The second I found out I was pregnant, I had it done! I think it's important we protect ourselves and our unborn babies. (That's just my personal opinion though :) )

As for tickers - you can click on anyone's and it will take you to that particular website, then you just set it up from there x x

Hey marley, sorry popping in from Tri2 but noticed your thread. I would get it hun. I wasn't going to, even when I went for the jab I was sitting in the waiting room trying to decide whether to tell the nurse I didn't want it! But she was really good, she explained everything about the jab and told me how tests had been done and that the jab couldn't harm baby :) I'm so glad now that I got it. It is totally your choice though x

Try lilypie.com for a ticker or pregnology.com for one like the one I have x

ive heard some horror stories, but your right... we need it just in case!!!! xxxx

just popping across from tri 2 as well - I haven't had mine done - and I'm not going too. It has crossed my mind when the midwife mentioned it but then i just don't trust them i.e goverment/hospital people.. etc . I always think they have an ulterior motive  Anyway I am hardly ever sick or ill from anything, in fact I can't remember the last time I was. My other half was really ill a few weeks ago with something but it just passed me by - which is the usual story. If I do get something I tend to be able to get rid of quickly though without any medication, that's probably because I refuse to go to the doctors unless I'm dragged there though - so I think ( hope!) my body would be able to handle it. Hopefully that makes a bit of sense, i am crap at explaining stuff though, sorry.

I haven't been let have mine yet ass I had bad flu several weeks ago and am still recovering . But given how ill I was and how worried I was I'll be having is as soon as I can . I had it last year during my last pregnancy and was fine , however I can understand your concern as I was worried too .

Do you need to wait until your further on then? I was told I had to be 11+ weeks x

I am not getting mine. Its personal choice hun if you don't want to risk it get it. Click on the ticker you want and copy the link it gives you? x

i don't know rachey, they just said we can do it straight away.....hmmm

Hmmm, they must be able to then hun. Just when I went she asked how many weeks I was, when I said 14 she said that she was just asking to see that I was over 11 weeks, not sure why she asked then x

Hi hun, hope you don't mind me popping in from ttc but it's really important to have the flu jab when you are pregnant. Your immune system is drastically weakened when you are pregnant and you are vulnerable. In the hospital I work in there have been a number of pregnant ladies in intensive care with flu, don't risk it or your baby. It's been thoroughly tested and you should have it when offered. xx
