First scan and nuchal at 1130 today, eeek!!

Four hours to go till my 12 week scan and nuchal test. And more blood tests. Am excited, scared nervous. A little worried they won't see anything and bump is all in my head. Eeek, looking forward to it but starting to get butterflies now. Just hope everything is alright in there. Breathe. xxx

I felt the same, I convinced myself I had made it all up!
It's such an amazing miracle and it's easy to think it's happening in someone elses body, but when its your own, its so hard to believe!
we felt so different after seeing it.

It was totally amazing, I was in tears and so was husband. First thing scanlady said was, "well you're definitely pregnant, theres your baby and theres its heartbeat" The little heart was amazing, I thought it was looking really fast and she said babies hearts beat double the speed of ours while they are in there.

Bean did a couple of random jumps, his whole body went up in the air. And he put his hands up in the air like he was waving too. We got 3 lovely pics, one with leg in the air (looks like long legs), one with arm in the air and one where we can even see the outline of the face, the nose and everything so clear.

Took blood for nuchal too and now I just hope I don't hear from them as they only get in touch if there is a problem. Baby was 6.4cm length and due date was exactly what the pregnancy calculator thing I used online had said it would be, 14th October.

Going to visit husbands parents for the weekend so telling them then, told my Mum last weekend and visiting my dad next weekend to tell him. Then we can tell other people. Will be tough next week as have two lunches out with friends with young children but don't want to say anything till my Dad knows.

Eeeeeek!! that was so exciting. Really looking forward to the next one now, could have watched bean all day, didn't want her to turn the screen off. Good luck everyone thats got their scans coming up. xxxxx

Thanks everyone, still grinning like a maniac. LisaB how did you get on. We didn't go eri, went st johns, given the option but decided less time to get there in rush hour traffic then across city centre as we live in the west. I'm due one day before you, hope your first 13 weeks have been all good so far xx

just to let you know I heard from midwife yesterday. My tests all came back fine and I am classed as low risk so don't have to go for anymore. Relieved. xx
