First response early tests!

Hey everyone!

I am ttc and have been for 6 months now.

I am due af in 4 days and have just used one of those 6 days before first response tests,and it was a BFN!!!!!

Could this be wrong?has anyone else had a BFN when they tested to early with this test and a BFP later on?

As far as I'm aware u shouldn't test that early because of the negative. They say you can test from the day free period due. I would wait until then to get an accurate result.

But it does say on the box you can do it 6 days prior,but i know its not 100% x

Hi Hun I tested twice with this about four days before I was due a&f and bfn but on the day my af was due my eBay cheapies arrived so I tested again and got positive a clear blue digi later that day confirmed 1-2 weeks pregnant hope this helps

I just couldn't wait any longer and i have had a few symptoms too so thought i would get a BFP for some reason,but i think the symptoms are just my body playing its usual tricks,he he.I just want to be pregnant now,i've had enough!!!!!!x

I tested with a first response on Tuesday which was 3 days after my missed AF and got a very very faint line. But a digi confirmed my BFP with the same pee.

it depends on the person hun, depends on how much of the hormone you have in your system x

When i was pregnant with my daughter,i used one the day before and it was very faint so i did a digi one instead to confirm x

i didn't like the first response test i didn't find them too sensitive. never used one with this pregnancy just bought a cheap test from the chemist.

It all depends on how much HCG levels are in your system hun, some people produce that bit more than others but the closer to AF being due the better. CB Dig only give a % rate of days before AF for a result so don't give up as I am sure FR are pretty much the same. Try to hang back a few days before re-testing again. Good luck xx

I used first response 4 days before af was due and got a very faint The first 12 of the 15 tests I have done were first response. When I had a test done at the hospital and at the doctors on the day af was due and got . I say wait a couple of days then try it again!

I'm going to be the same!! Have done 3 at home already, plus one pee in a pot for the doctor, and my pack of 10 poas tests arrived from ebay today

As far as a false positive goes.. I think they're much more UNlikely than a false neg? All the test does is measure preggers hormone hCG, so if there's no hCG there's no positive. I read somewhere else 'A line is a line, no matter how faint' which def applied to me as the 1st test I did was a Boots one which barely showed at all.. but the line was there!

Wait a day or so and test again, line should go darker the more preggers hormone you have and hCG levels double every 48 hours I think.. someone correct me if I'm worng please

Hey, I tested 5 days before AF (desperately willing a line!!!) with first response and got BFN, but I tested on the same day with a cheapie and got a BFP!!! I didn't give up after the first response because I just KNEW I'd be pregnant!!! Good luck!x

So you got your possitive 5 days before your af was due?I didn't know they did cheapies you could do so early,what are they?x

Yeah I did! I know it shouldn't have shown...and it was faint...but it was there, the magic second line!!! It was a cheapie I got from a chemist near me..£1.49 per test!!! Bargain! I think the brand name was first aid. The instructions said to test on day of AF but I never listen to instructions (which is probably why I was in detention all the time when I was a kid!). Fingers crossed for you sweet...remember that everyone's hormone levels are different and it ain't over until the wicked auntie comes to stay.xx
