Hi ladies...I wondered, how long it took for results to be given to you after the first SA specimen was handed in to the doctor?

My hubby handed his in to doctor (they then sent them to the private hospital) back two weeks ago on Tuesday! Now two weeks and two days later and they still haven't called my husband with the results, despite him leaving a couple messages. Am I just being impatient or should they surely have got all results etc by now? It was all included in the price of the procedure!

We got our results within a couple of days, we just called GP and got a print out. I would call them again and demand the results, if you have paid privately then its not acceptable to wait in my opinion xx

Glad I'm not overreacting... I don't want to get irritated with people, they looked after my hubby and the surgeon was lovely...but for a private hospital, over 2 weeks wait seems far too long for something so important, with just under £3000 in their pockets for it. When hubby got infection in the wound, he didn't even bug them about it, just went to normal GP, got antibiotics and I bought Manuka honey to make dressings with...was at it for two weeks at least, trying to get the incisions to heal.

I know I've been stupid doing OPK etc without knowing if it had worked...but when I started it was after he took specimen in and I thought results would have been back by the Friday. Now in a weird, TWW with no idea when AF is actually due (thanks to random cycle)... I just want at least SOMETHING concrete that I can work from...

I don't know what op your husband had but I really hope he's recovering well x

Get pushy with them if you have to, its hard waiting for these results xx
