For the last week or so, Isla has spent most of the day jamming her fingers in her mouth - to the point where she sometimes gags. She's also dribbling alot.

Any other reason for this apart from possible early teething!?

No idea but my Isla does it too x

Mines done it since he was 3 months old..he's to the point now where he shoves his whole hand in..he's obsessed lol

Mine has started to do it too. His fingers are raw. I just wrote a thread asking whether I should introduce a dummy. I don't want to but I would rather he kept his fingers!

Isla has a dummy - she likes it but also loves her fingers and they do get sore!

Zac did this too, he always had his hands in his mouth, and sticking his fingers down his throat! He has now found his thumb. I used to put cream on his hands while he was asleep to stop them being sore x

My health visitor said it helps them practice their chewing action and to leave him to it. My health visitor is useless though and comes out with a load of bollocks all the time, but I was reading my annabelle karmel book last night and it says that them chewing/sucking on their knuckles is a sign they are ready for weaning x

noa has done this for ages but now he have found his thumb n hes happy with thhat most of the time x i think its just there way to explore x

Campbell puts EVERYTHING in his mouth and has done since about 11 weeks. No teeth coming through xx
