So Lilly's been a cranky bum lately and she seems to be all over the place. She's chewing and dribbling over everything and seems to constantly want to have boob. She doesnt sleep for more than an hour during the day and nothing seems to entertain her, sometimes she cries for hours on end. She barely even smiles or laughs any more :( I've looked on some sites and she seems to have all the signs for early teething including rubbing her cheeks and ears a lot, feeding less and having really bad trouble at night (and today, during the day too).

Is this a growth spurt, early teething or is she just being a moody monkey? How to tell the difference? I didn't think she was due a spurt at 2 months and teething isn't supposed to start until 3 or 4 months...

I found zach ate and slept loads when he was having a growth spurt. Don't really know, could she be an early teether? Hope she perks up for you xxx

I've felt her gums and can feel hard bits but i think thats just how her gums are (having never stuck my finger in another babies mouth before....). I don't know, it's really hard! I think she would love a teething ring but she hasn't learned how to grasp things really yet so I have to sit and hld it in her mouth! She loves it but I do have things that I need to do other than that, hehe.

Ha I did that for a bit as I was convinced he was teething really early, but he still hasn't got a tooth! Sorry can't be much help, maybe she is just having a few off days xxx

Sounds like teething to me, there's no real hard and fast rule as to when it happens....babies can be born with a tooth or not get any till past 1 year :)

If she cant grasp a teether, I highly recommend teething powder...either ashton & parsons or nelsons (I think its nelsons? something like that lol) it really calms jess down almost instantly and has been a godsend :)

Hmm, not heard of teething powder, will pop into boots tomorrow and ask about it. Ta!

xx
