Hi ladies this is my first post on here....I'm 35 and been ttc for 18 month, I've had 21day bloods done last Friday and got my results today and all normal. Seen my doctor today and she's referring me to Liverpool women's hospital for fertility appointment. I'm just wondering what they will do at my first appointment and has anyone had a referral to Liverpool women's??? I'm feeling really confused and low tonight....😢

Hi Adele and welcome.

At our first appointment we filled in lots of paperwork, looked at what bloods and scans had been done already and booked in more bloods, more ultrasounds, a hsg for me and two SA for my husband. They also asked about family history, any previous pregnancies, medical history, criminal convictions, diet, exercise and weight, smoking history etc. We didn't see the consultant until all the tests they wanted were done, but some places have the first meeting with the consultant.

Hope that helps. I found it a bit of a relief that something was actually going to happen.

Thanks for that snowbee. Was going to post a similar question as GP has now agreed to do a fertility referral for us. I also feel positive that something is being done! All my tests from the GP have come back normal. OH's motility is a little low but I'm packing him with vitamins to try and help. 2nd one was better so I like to think it's helping!! I'm also trying to improve diet and fitness. Although I'm not overweight, lifestyle could be better!! Hope we don't have to wait too long!!

I think we only waited 3 months for our first appointment, then we had do do a bit more waiting to book tests on the correct cycle days (and as my cycles are erratic that didn't help!). Our main issue was that I actually got pregnant while waiting for some of the tests, then mc, so all tests had to be rearranged. Then they had awful staffing problems, some people were off with long term illness so all appointments got moved again. If you don't have any hold ups like those though I think it goes fairly quickly!

I hope things move quickly. I'm so impatient!! At least it feels like something is happening so that's something!

What vitamins has your OH tried MoominGirl? My OH had low motility and someone I know suggested some vitamins called solgar VM-75, I got some from Amazon and we conceived a month after he started taking them. Could be a complete fluke of course but still might be worth a shot? He also used to cycle regularly and the fertility Dr at the hospital said that can cause pressure on his testes and affect production of sperm! 😱 So he took a break from that for a while too 👍🏼

At the moment OH is just taking the Wellman but I'm looking at others we both could be taking. OH doesn't cycle which is good from the sound of it!!
