Felix

My OH has always wanted to give his son the name Felix and with my first pregnancy I managed to convince him to go for something else. But now he is really keen on it again and doesn't want to consider anything else. I do really like the name but it makes me think of the cat food.

I wonder if with time I can get over that?? I know how much he loves that name

I went to college with a guy called Felix and I never once thought 'cat food' x he really suited it! Lol x one of OH's friends reminded me that there's a crab in the little mermaid called Sebastian but it doesn't bother me x do you like it as a name on it's own?

I like it, I don't think of cat food, I laways said if I had boy/girl twins I would call them Felix and Felicity, but they would have to be twins

My little cousin is called felix and it suits him loads and no one thought of cat food or anything I think it's a really cute name!! X

Thanks everyone! Felix it is . Although I haven't told OH yet. I put in an order for a baby hat that says Felix on it and will surprise him with it once I receive it. Now I can use this for a long time to get my way

There was a little boy at a playschool i worked at called Felix and he was really sweet, the name really suited him, none of the staff thought it was weird or mentioned the cat food.

Lovely name hun, but I know how it is when a certain name reminds you of something.. My sister was going to call my nephew Charlie and I was like please don't.. Charlie was the boy in my primary school class who always chased me at lunchtime and pulled my skirt up, he had an abnormal amount of saliva too! It always slid out A bit off topic but yeah, he scarred the name for me

You're going to hate me but we do have a cat called Felix!

Having said that it's a lovely name which is why we called our Felix, Felix

Also how many other people give their pets 'normal' names so I say if you like it then go for it!

Love it, and wouldn't thinik of catfood, I always think of Felix Lighter the character from james bond films.
