Sorry, just in need of a moan, feel free to ignore me.

I've been getting really bad acid reflux. Doesn't seem to matter if my stomach is full or empty, I just can't seem to get rid of it. Also been feeling sicky, not sure if this is connected.

The top of my bump is really uncomfortable, it feels tight and under pressure even when it's not. It's been quite sensitive since my bump started taking shape, but it's worse than ever now. Won't go into the pain in my hips, or how many times I need the loo these days (or most annoying, feeling the need to go, but not really needing to go - especially in the middle of the night...)

My OH hasn't been very well so we've been as bad as each other for getting things sorted round the house...or not. And now we've just heard that there's a good chance he may be being made redundant at the end of the year. We just managed to get ourselves on the housing ladder this year, really hope we don't fall off it :(

Aww *hugs* it's good to have a moan now and again!!
We are really close in dates! :)

Thanks xxbeckyxx. I've got a feeling I'm going to go way over my due date, my money is on you being first :) Can't quite believe the numbers for 'days until due date' on the ticker are getting so low!

awww indigo hope thing improve for you soon hun xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I don't mind going over a little bit indigo, and think I probably will, but as I'm after a home birth I don't want it to get to the 10 days induction stage!! Was it you who wanted a home birth too?

i am in the exact same position as you have given up trying to avoid things that bring on the acid reflux as I get it no matter what. Also my bump wont drop so its so painful combined with bhs hope ur starting to feel a little better x

Thanks all. Not feeling as fed up today, but then I'm not at work ) (only 2 days left to work next week and then my maternity leave starts!)

My bump is still high, although loo trips have increased. Can't imagine needing to go more once it's dropped!

It is me planning a home birth. Still need to do a lot of sorting and tidying to make sure there's enough room but I'll get there (I have an image in my head of us doing this while I'm in labour, tidying and dusting before the midwife arrives lol). I'm hoping everything comes together once I finish work.

my bumps dropped, but i still dont have relief from the acid reflux, my consultant said to me to eat something small every hour, and not eat big meals, im like thats easier said than done!! i never feel hungry, and im normally a right scoffer, lol but if i do eat a lot then its making me sick...

good luck with your home birth, im hoping for a waterbirth but in hosp, but in my local hospital i can only go 1 week over before they wont let me have one, so fingers crossed something happens before the 30th!! :)

xxx

I seem to swing from being off food, well, more like just not being able to think of anything I fancy, to being ravenous! I also seem to get the reflux if my stomach is empty, full, or anywhere in between!

Really hope you get your water birth, it seems a bit restrictive of them re the week over :( You'll have to explain to the baby how much it will enjoy arriving in the pool!

I think you may start to perk up once your maternity leave starts as you have had to work quite late in your pregnancy. It's a lovely feeling, just nesting etc.

Try not to look to hard ahead and worry about your OH's job being at risk. If worse case happens , then he can have slightly more than the normal 2 weeks off in dec to be helping you and baby and then be just right to apply for new jobs in january when it all picks up again and beating the rush! My OH was made redundant when my last baby was 1 week old, with only 1 week nottice as he was only agency (even after 7 years!) and all was fine in the end.

Hope when baby drops more you won't be so uncomfy, totally understand about the loo thing - not long now tho - so exciting

Thanks JJ. Feeling better in myself I think, although didn't have a great midwife appointment today. I'm kind of pleased the redundancy thing happened when we had time to think about the options. I mean, the timing is poor, but it could have been worse - like having a 1 week old baby for example! That must have been a really tough time.

I think my OH is now kind of hoping that he does get made redundant so that we can all spend some time together! I've got say that that would be great (for a while at least), but me being the one who is better with money knows that we can't live on one wage long term. Thank god I'm a saver and have my maternity leave covered financially (to a point).
