Hi, I was on this forum last year but took a break, we have been ttc for 2 years, I have had blood tests and scan all were ok, we have been told my dh has abnormal sperm, he has a child from his previous marriage and I cant help but this make me feel even worse. All I have ever wanted was to be a mum and I really dont know what to do atm, I just feel so incomplete and alone. All my friends have kids or are pregnant and just say keep trying but after 2 years I am emotionally exhausted and dont know what to do :-(

HI Nic123,
Sorry you are having a tough journey. Its hard when it feels like everyone else around you has kids and you so so want to be a Mum and its not happening. Have you been able to share with your husband how all this is making you feel?
This whole ttc process is an emotional roller coaster each month and so much pressure. Have you seen a consultant to look at options for assistance with conceiving?
Hoping for good news for both of us soon,
Fiona x

Tell me about it, tes he is really good and he is just as upset as I am every month but even he desnt understand what it feels like cos he is a dad, he has gone through all the happiness and excitement and ultimately if nothing changes he is still a dad. I know I shouldnt feel like that but I cant help it. They havent said much atm but I dont think we would get any financial support as he has a child, not sure we will be able to afford to go private. I seem to mix between hopdless and angry atm. How long have you been trying? Where are you in all these stages? How can something thats meant too be so natural be so difficult and emotional. I will keep my fingers crossed for you too xxx

Hey, I'm so sorry you feel like this. My hubby has crap spermies too and he has a child from a previous relationship but we are lucky to have a child together too, conceived with no problems. I would be devastated if we hadn't had our dd as our trust would find nhs either. We are about to start private IVF for number two though. What exactly was your hubby's SA result and had he repeated it? It's important to repeat it and get him on either wellman or zita west fertility vitamins, I also have hubby on extra since and pycnogenol and it has helped a bit, reduced caffeine and booze etc. does he see his child? I'm not if there is opportunity to appeal nhs guidelines in certain situations. Big hugs to you xxx

Hey Hun, what is the problem with OH sperm? We were trying for 2 years- hubby had low sperm count. Someone on here recommended some vitamins you can buy off amazon solgar VM-75. He took them for a month and I fell pg. There were other things that could have contributed but it's worth a go? Hubby's convinced that's what helped us.

Baby dust to all xxx

Thanks for the responses ladies, it helps to speak to others in similar situations, we are gping to repeat it next month hopefully as we had a hot tub on our honeymoon so that would have messef it up since the last one he has cut down on the alcohol in tge last couple of months too. He us also on the wellman, he took them for about a year before but we are giving them another go, the doctor didnt say anymore than you migh5 be able to conceive with ivf, it is all just such an emotional roller coaster and everyonejust says relax and it will hapoen but we know there is a problemnot that weare too stressed, still I suppose where we know there is a problem there are things we can do to try to sort ut. Fingerscrossed for you all xxx

I feel the same as u hun :( 3 years trying hubby with a child from previous relationship all friends saying it will happen, im so disheartened xx

My hubby was on the wellman too but these solgar ones are much stronger. Defo worth a go!

I just can't believe how hard it it and it's like no one believes it's not me that's got the problem, after all it can't be him as he has a child. Can't believe the emotions it causes. OK thanks I shall have a look and try them ones xxx
