A very clingy newborn (in the Moby at the mo) and a toddler who just wants some Mummy time (quite rightly) does not make a happy Claire!!

This is flippin hard work!! :(

i admire you claire, i wouldnt be able to cope with two! not until alfie is in school anyways id be ran around the bend! sorry to hear today is a tough day :(

my sister has just flown to australia with her family. my 5 year old nephew (who is good as gold) and my 13 month old neice who is very clingy still doesnt sleep though the night, usually wakes every 1-2 hours but i think thats improving to 3 hours now and she wont sit on her mums lap for 5 minutes to watch tv like ever! i dont know how my sister does it, i hate to think how many times she has lapped that plane!

xx

Morning girls!! Someone must have snuck in yesterday morning and swapped Spencer with a Happy sleepy baby! Switched him to comfort formula and he fed every 4 hours yesterday, brought up all his wind straight after each feed and went straight to sleep! Same with during the night. Amazing!

Health visitor coming out for the first time at 2 I'm so excited to see how much weight he's put on!

Diane, I hope the talk with the consultant is healing for you and helps. I have a friend who had a traumatic birth and the Birth Trauma Association were really helpful to her.

Over here they would tut and tell you off for letting a small baby sleep more than three hours even with a good weight gain. I figure if Eli is gaining, happy, contwnt, enough wet/dirty nappies then he can sleep when and for as long as he pleases.

Babybee i hope you feel better soon and hope Beau feels better too.

Eli was weighed yesterday he is 8lb 10oz now, was 7lb 2oz at birth and he has grown 4.5cms. We are starting baby massage class a week Friday, i am really looking forward to that.

Some days are better than others, Jack's fab at playing by himself but obviously being only 21 month himself he wants me to himself sometimes which is so hard because Harry cries A LOT!! I still haven't figured out what Harry likes when trying to settle him, I think he wants to hold something for comfort but so far only holding our fingers works which obviously isn't practical as a permanent comfort lol He defo prefers to be on his tummy to sleep but i'm now thinking about wrapping his body tightly with his blanket (not his arms because he's on his tummy) to see if that helps seeing as he likes being tight in the Moby? I'm also going to lay one of my tshirt in there and lay him on it so he can smell me? I never had to do any of this with Jack so it's all very new to me!! We were very very spoiled having such a fantastically laid back first baby!!

All I keep repeating in my head is ... in a few months it'll be easier!! :) x

Got a perfectly well behaved baby again but my daughter won't stop screaming... She's driving me insane!!!!!

Mummy to Francesca (born at 13:27 on 10/08/11 weighing 7lbs 6oz, 5 days early) and Benjamin (born at 23:08 on 08/03/13 weighing 8lbs 15oz, 1 day late).

Tapatalking!

Opposite problem to me then hun!! Just fight your way through it like I am lol x

I can't put Alex done without him crying its so frustrating. He is asleep on me but i know as soon as i put him down he will wake up and then i will gave to put him back on my boob to settle him again.

When is this meant to get easier? Everyone keeps telling me it will but i am starting to think its just a myth!!

I feel like a fricking dairy cow at the moment!!

Unfortunately our little monkey's are the ones who decide when to make life easier for us!! Harry is literally a mystery to me lol Nothing except sleeping on his tummy or drinking milk comforts him! It doesn't help that he has the cutest yet most grumpy face ever! lol

Get a Moby!! I think Harry will be in mine a lot in the next few months! x

I am tempted to get a wrap as i struggle to put him down during the day.

Hoping the clocks changing forward won't effect him at such a young age.

we have tried everything with alfie, and im still trying different things now, the most recent is like a swaddle bag thing my sister gave me that i found in his draw that seems to be good for him you put him in it zip it up to his neck and it hold him tight but hes not a tummy sleeper like harry. alfie took my favourite cardigan ransom a week or so ago we would wrap him in it and he slept better. because when i held him he was used to the feel of it on his skin too i guess as i would always be wearing it (im sat here in it now!) and before that i also laid him on the top id worn that day so it freshly smelt of me and its what hed smelt all day. we used to warm his basket up too. its still tiral and error its just most upsetting when you feel like you dont know your own child! it may sound daft but maybe even lay the moby in there if hes in it most of the day?! maybe get a teehter thing thats a simular shape to a finger im sure you can warm some of them? try holding on to that while he holds the other end and then when he drops off you can leave him to it and he will still have hold on the teether? just a random idea that came to my head, they come in all shapes and sizes im sure you can find one thats got a bit on it a simular size to a finger? xx

Good idea about the teether! I'll attack ebay later and see what they've got!! One thing I have noticed is when he's falling asleep up on my shoulder he opens and closes his hand that's closest to my shoulder (his right hand as I hold him on my left shoulder IYKWIM) almost like he's stroking me! I spend most days in Primark tshirts so I think I might go and change this one in a min and let him have it in his basket seeing as yesterdays is in the washing machine lol Once i'd unwrapped him from the Moby and laid him down I almost left him wrapped in it but it's about 8ft long!! I'll defo try it later though.

The clock changes have never affected Jack at all but i'm betting money that they'll affect Harry lol

I feel so awful being negative about him all the time! When he's not shouting at me (his cry sounds like a shout lol) he's the sweetest little thing!! Then he yells and I want to post him to Timbuctoo! lol x

I've ebay'd and i'm thinking a comfort blanket with a teether in one corner so he can hold the rubber teether bit? I think he'll need 2 though ... one for each hand lol x
