my sister has just flown to australia with her family. my 5 year old nephew (who is good as gold) and my 13 month old neice who is very clingy still doesnt sleep though the night, usually wakes every 1-2 hours but i think thats improving to 3 hours now and she wont sit on her mums lap for 5 minutes to watch tv like ever! i dont know how my sister does it, i hate to think how many times she has lapped that plane!

Some days are better than others, Jack's fab at playing by himself but obviously being only 21 month himself he wants me to himself sometimes which is so hard because Harry cries A LOT!! I still haven't figured out what Harry likes when trying to settle him, I think he wants to hold something for comfort but so far only holding our fingers works which obviously isn't practical as a permanent comfort lol He defo prefers to be on his tummy to sleep but i'm now thinking about wrapping his body tightly with his blanket (not his arms because he's on his tummy) to see if that helps seeing as he likes being tight in the Moby? I'm also going to lay one of my tshirt in there and lay him on it so he can smell me? I never had to do any of this with Jack so it's all very new to me!! We were very very spoiled having such a fantastically laid back first baby!!
All I keep repeating in my head is ... in a few months it'll be easier!!x

we have tried everything with alfie, and im still trying different things now, the most recent is like a swaddle bag thing my sister gave me that i found in his draw that seems to be good for him you put him in it zip it up to his neck and it hold him tight but hes not a tummy sleeper like harry. alfie took my favourite cardigan ransom a week or so ago we would wrap him in it and he slept better. because when i held him he was used to the feel of it on his skin too i guess as i would always be wearing it (im sat here in it now!) and before that i also laid him on the top id worn that day so it freshly smelt of me and its what hed smelt all day. we used to warm his basket up too. its still tiral and error its just most upsetting when you feel like you dont know your own child! it may sound daft but maybe even lay the moby in there if hes in it most of the day?! maybe get a teehter thing thats a simular shape to a finger im sure you can warm some of them? try holding on to that while he holds the other end and then when he drops off you can leave him to it and he will still have hold on the teether? just a random idea that came to my head, they come in all shapes and sizes im sure you can find one thats got a bit on it a simular size to a finger? xx
