~February & March Mummies and Babies~

Welcome hopes dreams. Babybee Alfie doesn't go anywhere without his. He has a blue and a green one but usually the blue one is always in his bag for when he needs it. He started getting grouchy again he's really not happy at night. In laws suggeated changing his milk. He's currently on aptamil. Cow and gate is basically the same I've read so should I try sma? What's the big deal about hipp organic? I feel so useless because I feel like I havnt got a clue like im guessing everything! He just screams at night. For hours. He's on dentinox for colic. Maybe I should change that too. God it's all so hard :-( x

I swear by the colief maddie x expensive but worth it x im gona get it on prescription tho now I know it works xx

Well Quinn has had 3 large poos today mushy so not constipated but hes jus fed after changing nappy and is now out cold x lets hope last night was a bad tummy and tonight is better fx fx fx fx fx fx xxxx

Hey Maddie, is he a particularly hungry baby? I found Cesca was like that during the day when she was on first milk, then I put her on hungry milk, it took a while to settle her but it worked. Just gave her that bit extra and she wasn't actually consuming any extra milk so she wasn't being sick as much.

And yes, colief is a godsend!! I used it for about 3 weeks with Cesca. Have started with infacol for Ben but if he doesn't improve will go to colief. I found that dentinox did no good (but their shampoo for cradle cap is excellent!) Xx

Mummy to Francesca (born at 13:27 on 10/08/11 weighing 7lbs 6oz, 5 days early) and Benjamin (born at 23:08 on 08/03/13 weighing 8lbs 15oz, 1 day late).

Tapatalking!

My girl has been feeding like crazy today and has just polished off a 180ml bottle  still got the spots and has been very grouchy just gonna monitor things tomorrow; I do have an appointment on Tuesday but will see what happens.

Maddie skyler has cow and gate comfort milk it does seen to have helped her a bit, also having a faster flowing teat.

Does this colief work for reflux too? Or just colic? I don't even know the difference? I'm convinced skyler has silent reflux; she hiccups a lot, takes ages to burp, goes rigid, hates being laid flat (apart from bedtime strangely) but isn't sick.

Diane, mines been the same! Really grouchy and feeding non-stop!! She's literally been at the breast every hour (from every 3 hours) and screams if I stop to try and burp her.

We're going to the inlaws who live near Bristol for a week tomorrow so I'm struggling with the mounds of stuff we need to take, our car isn't big at all!
Xxx

Eek you're brave!!! I couldn't imagine how much you need to go away for a week! We are going away for a week in September and I'm dreading that already lol!

I'll let you know how it goes! Even though I'm breastfeeding I'm taking the bottles, sterilisers and pump just in case something happens. Hopefully I won't need them so the next trip I go on I can leave them.

We changed Harry to Hipp organic yesterday and the difference in him is amazing! He's a lot less stressed and has hardly made a sound today except for when he's hungry. He's winding lots from the bottom end and is finding pooing a lot easier. It's just generally made him a happier baby! x

CJ had ebm, but giving him a formula top up at bedtime as it doesn't seem to be filling him completely!!! He has been more settled since we introduced the formula, but he is still being abit sick and isn't pooing as much, tris is convinced it's my milk making him not right, if he is right I will feel so guilty, gonna speak to hv tomorrow about it all - had alot of tears again about it all!!!

Typically Tris has got little man all worked up by playing with him just before bedtime, and then chuffed off to bed, leaving me to get him settled even though I'm exhausted! Men are so bloody annoying!!!! I always feel I can't go to sleep until after little man has!!!

Hope you ladies all get a good nights sleep, I think we all need it xx

Not sure at that age hopes, CJ used to poo loads at that age, now he is going a few days which worries me!!!

We are up for our first feed..... He has eaten and fallen back to sleep, but I dare not put him down yet, just incase he is sick!!!

Ladies, any advice on when to move to next teat size, it says 3+ month on box but I don't know?

Got so much to as hv today, he is due at 9am (arrrrrghhhhh, no lay in for me, CJ permitting!!!!)

T is off Tuesday, I am having a lay in, he can do early shift!!!!

Jas doesn't always poo - apparantly a breastfed baby can go up to ten days without pooing so unless he's in agony I wouldn't worry!

Jas fell asleep at 9 and I've just had to wake her for her feed - hopefully she'll go back off again!

Sassy have your tried vari flow teats? You can use them from birth Alfie gets n much better with them. He's awake now has been since 12. Had his feed pooped not long after and just windges for hours on end. Sometimes it's like he's uncomfortable but then alot of the time it's like he's just moaning for attention b then eve though your holding him and swaying him etc he still cries. Think I'm going to have colief and change his milk. He's just so grumpy now whenever he is awake he used to lay and play and watch tv now he's grumpy even in my arms. Cries etc too. He's not particularly a hungry baby he's a snacker, will take 2 oz the and other 2oz over the following 90 mins or so. It's hard work he doesn't take all his bottle then he wants another in 1 and a half to 2 hours. I'm just so confused with it all i still feel like I know nothing about all of this! :-(

Babybee we are off to Cornwall in 2 weeks and I've made a list of what we need to take. Jesus I hope my mk 6 ford fiesta is deceiving when it comes to its size haha! It's even stupid things like we are staying with Paul's grandparents and they don't have a bath. We can't really shower Alfie. Don't really want to assume we can use their sink or anything just incase he take a shit lol so we may need to take his bath too. Luckily we will have the new pram by then so he is going to sleep in the carry cot when we are there don't think I'm going to take the moses. But god am I dreading staying in someone else's house with him :/ it's mad what you have to take bloody sterilisers the lot! Xx
