~February & March Mummies and Babies~

Oh, and I wanted to do baby massage but it's booked up till June here! I have found some really good videos on YouTube which really help with her bedtime routine and totally relax her. I wanna go to some classes tho as I feel very lonely. Wish we could all meet up xxx

Sounds like you've all had rotten nights!!! I can't complain I got 6 hours of sleep as it's my birthday and hubby got up with the baby! I got up at half 7 and let him go back to bed as he starts work at eleven :-)

Very excited as parents are coming up to the flat to babysit for a few hours while we go out for a meal!

Tmi...but we're both gutted this is the first year without birthday sex!!! Haha!!!

Also, Spencer is 3 weeks old now but do your babies cry much in their sleep? Most times he starts crying, like a proper screamy cry but I can tell he's still asleep. He also moans a lot in his sleep. I'm worried he's in pain somehow he's been like that since he was a week old x

We had another 2hr50min sleep :yay: can cope much better with that :)

I hated being pregnant x enjoyed the bump but that was it x made my work harder to do, felt rough never ever BLOOMED!! Id love another at some point but hubby has said no - from word go he only said he wanted 1 more xx

Talulah it took us 10 cycles to conceive Jack and only 2 to conceive Harry so hopefully it won't take you very long next time!

I can't say I enjoyed either pregnancy but didn't hate it either. Jack's was really easy, no aches and pains but I had very stretched skin towards the end and even had a numb patch! Harry's was horrible on my hips but was also straight forward. I deco don't miss it and deco won't be doing it again!

Sounds like some of us had bad nights. We didn't have a bad night as such but he had 4 feeds instead of the usual 2 but he went straight back to sleep afterwards.

He finally has a Health Visitor!! She's coming on Monday morning. Just a shame it's Jack's old one, she was crap lol. Looking forward to see how much weight he's gained!

Have a good day ladies :) xxx

I didn't go back to sleep, Blake kept whinging, then needed a bum change at 6am so we got up with OH.

I'm the one having trouble with wind- I know and use all the techniques but he just wont give it up. I'm now using two squirts of infacol before each feed. Gripe water has done nothing for him. We are seriously considering getting some Colief to try. He doesn't have colic, but wont settle when he has wind and wont burp! Night feeds are taking over an hour at a time- I'm broken!

Not impressed with my doctors whatsoever!! A friend picked my prescription up for me yesterday but by the time I got it the pharmacy was shut. So Chris practically ran to work this morning In the snow so I could have the car to go pick it up. Dragged jas out in the freezing cold to go pick it up only to be told that the tablets are out of stock everywhere because theres an issue with the dosage. So great I have a 2 week old am knackered enough and now down have the Iron tablets I need! The pharmacist said the doctors shouldn't still be prescribing them because they know they are out of stock! So the pharmacist is trying to sort it but said it could be Monday before my next prescription is ready - not happy and I really don't want to drag jas out in this weather again so I don't know what to do!!! X

It's a nightmare! i find myself wishing he was 3 months old already and don't want to wish this precious time away :( The more I read about colic, the more I think he does have it, but just doesn't do the crying for hours part. Last night he was holding himself rigid over my shoulder while going red in the face while I tried to get it out. He guzzles his feeds too- taking in lots of air, so I want to try the anti-colic bottles.

Durham try the colief it made massive difference to Quinn xx
He does the rigid red in face too but less so now :)

I've just been to my 6 week check up and was underwhelmed at the checks they did. I thought they would do an internal check but she didn't. Just felt my stomach and scar. She also took my blood pressure which was on the lower end of normal. She weighed me and kindly told me that I wasn't 'massively overweight'. Does wonders for your self esteem hearing things like that! I've never been overweight before, just trying to shift some baby weight thanks very much!
For checks that was it!

Anyway it was a crappy visit, didn't learn anything new and now I feel sick and tired.
On the up side E is being super cute and screeching at the bird and cat on her playmat. I'm hoping she settles down for a long nap in a min so I can have one too.

So there's snow in other parts of the country??? How much? There's nothing here, just cold and wind!

How is everyone's day going?

Xxx

We had snow this morning, but it's melted now. It's freezing here- no way we can go out. Blake has been sleeping mostly so far today, probably because he didn't sleep as much last night

I just rang my OH and he's in Kiddicare buying vests bless him- so he's just picked up some anti-colic bottles too.

Sounds like my check up babybee! Although she did look down below, but only cos I wanted her to check!

Yep it's been snowing again here so fed up with it been all week now!

Wish I hadn't cancelled my doc appt now as I'm concerned with the spots on skylers face. She doesn't have them anywhere else, no temp, still drinking etc but they're getting worse gonna ring dr and see what they say but can't get out anywhere till Paul is home at 4 :-/

Diane B is spotty. Do some of them have white heads? Think they're called milk spots. X

No snow here just a lot of rain! It's miserable. housework done now Sat at home watching dvds. Tv doesn't work x

Diane, I'm not far away, when I come over to my parents we can always meet for a coffee/tea if you would like to???? Also, CJ has spots on his face which get worse and better, I was given some cream to put on them which helps, but was told its just their skin balancing out!!!

Clairey, CJ constantly moans and cries in his sleep, he also grunts and neighs, drives me mad at times, but is also quite cute!!!

Claire, good news on the hv, bad news on her being crap!!! My hv is male and seems really nice, he is coming for 2nd time on Monday!!!

Happy due date DW and Quinn!!!

DC and PC, colief is amazing, made such a difference to CJ, he is hardly sick, and burps and farts like a trouper now!!!! I'd highly recommend it, going to ask gp to prescribe it when we go on Tuesday!!!

Nicky, that's crap on tablets, which ones are they? Surely the chemist could just ring the dr and ask them to fax a new prescription over for you!!!!

Babybee, sorry you were underwhelmed by your check, but glad all ok! Ill be sorting my contraception out asap!!!!
Hopefully E will go down soon so you can get some rest!!!
We had bad snow in Castleford, got to hull and nothing at all!!!!

Well I came home to him being awake (after a night shift), and a clean (in a fashion) kitchen..... Think someone kicked him up the arse, glad it's done though as HV coming at 9am Monday, just gotta tackle the bomb site that is my living and dining room tomorrow while he is at work (which will look just as bad as soon as he gets home from work tomorrow)!!! We are going out for lunch and to get a bit of shopping once he has had a smoke! It's bloody freezing here so need to get little dude well wrapped up!!!!

Hope your all ok and staying warm!!! Xx

Colby Jacques Tired.com but very proud Mummy!!! Xx

Happy birthday Msclareypants :-) hope your all well ladies I'm just having my lunch. Super noodles. Yum lol. X

Sassy that's what she was trying to do. She also told me it would be sorted no later than 11am - well I'm still waiting!

I've just had a small nap - feel guilty tho cos Chris was awake quite awhile and he's stuck at work! Jas is still asleep but need to wake her soon for a feed. Really hoping she's not gonna be grumpy tonight like she was last night!

It's stopped snowing here but it's really windy and cold!

When jas is asleep she can start breathing quite fast only for a couple of seconds then goes back to normal - and she squeals, grunts, moans and cries a little in her sleep - guessing that's all normal?

HL28, that's crazy that's the check up you got!! Even if you did know her!

Diane, mine has those spots I asked the HV and my GP who told me they were milk spots. My mum had told me that from the beginning but I didn't believe her. She's so smug now.

Happy Birthday Msclaireypants!! I hadn't realised!

I so wish I lived closer to you ladies!
Xxx
