~February & March Mummies and Babies~

Nicky I found it sooo hard to adjust. I spoke to my hv about my feelings and she said that even tho we ttc this baby, and struggled for years to get her, you can still "grieve" for the life you're giving up; for me it was mainly the change of going from just Paul and I to Paul, me and the baby. It was hard and I struggled (and still do) to start thinking of our "new" life, when I loved our old one too! And all the while feeling guilty because we desperately wanted the baby! It's very strange and very strange emotions at first.

Dont know if that made any sense, but that's what I struggled with; the adjustment xxx

Omg sassy can't believe the trouble you're having with your wound!? I really hope this is it for you hun and you can recover quickly! And poor cj send him love and kisses, but yay for 8lb!!!

Babybee we don't have many visitors phew! Mostly just me going to see people to get out the house lol! Must be so frustrating, why dont people understand that you really dont wanna be entertaining every night of the week with a new baby!!!?? I would really struggle with that, especially during skys witching hours lol! Rant away all you need lovely! Xxx

Sassy you poor poor love. You have been through so much with your wound! Make sure you get that fixed up and better!!!
Yay for CJ reaching 8lbs!!!

Nicky, it's really normal. Don't worry and don't rush yourself to make you feel better straight away, it does take a few weeks. Anything would set me off!
Also I really missed being pregnant, as I got all the attention, there was the anticipation of labour but when the baby is there all the attention is on her. Even though the OH was being super supportive he was of course going to be doting all over the baby and not as much on me. That feeling (if you get it) also goes. I think this week I'm finally feeling myself!!

Diane, I know, it is hard and for the most part I don't mind it but we have some irritating flaky friends who still think its ok to change plans quickly. But it's been hard to try and get her into a routine as she can't be out to bed at 7 because of the visitors. This week should be the last of it fingers crossed!

Xxx

Oh yea, as babybee knows I'm also another who experienced the missing being pregnant too! God I felt horrible feeling my tummy!

My daughter was just laid on me and whining again, I looked down n she was pushing her legs against me trying to get closer to daddy! Now she's asleep half on me whilst resting her head on dads shoulder! Made me melt!

Still waiting to be seen!!!! Fed up and ready for bed now!!!!

Little man has had 2.5oz and wasn't sick, yay, and is now asleep in his car seat..... Not eaten since silly o'clock so I'm starving! Luckily mil is here to stop me going insane!!!

On way home! Gotta cut his feed down by about 1/2oz as he is taking too much!!! He is currently screaming his little head off in the car!!! It's snowing and horrible here, and I'm soooo tired, we both are!!!! Xxx

I've given in and give munchkin a dummy to try and settle him..... I hate the bloody things but he is so upset! It's only gonna be a bedtime thing if he won't go down by himself I think, do any other lo's have a dummy??? I'm looking at him with it and just feel crap cos I can't settle him myself xxx

Diane, that's so cute! Did you manage to take a photo?

Sassy, poor little CJ! As for a dummy, I use it sometimes too. They're just so handy and our babies are so tiny they sometimes need that extra bit of comfort! I actually used it last night for the first time and she self-soothed herself to sleep at around 10.30 and only just woke up now. As long as its not shoved in their mouths constantly then I see no problem with dummies!

Xxx

Sassy I used to hate dummies and thought I'd never use one! But I ended having to when I had the other two

Oh and Nicky, don't feel bad, I've done same in past, jas was fine and won't mind!!!! Xx

HL28, he are you finding the sea horse? My one finally noticed it yesterday and seemed to like it. When she likes things she just stares and stares at them. Then she tried to see if she could suck milk out of it.

Nicky, mine has only just started crying now because of dirty nappies. They don't always cry, nappies are so good these days they don't often notice they've done anything. Don't feel bad at all about it! Sounds like you've got a good little sleeper there! :)

Sassy I want to give you a hug!!

Xxx

Babybee I think she likes it.
