~February & March Mummies and Babies~

Tallulah, I felt the same, it seemed that she'd just get frustrated and bored. I discovered that she loved her reflection and she adores daylight. When she's on her playmat I have a hand held mirror that I randomly flip over, she looks shocked and then starts kicking and punching around. I then bring her mat close to the window and explain what everything is outside: tree, bench, shed, birds etc. she loves that too.
Recently she loves it when I play some music loudly and have her sat on my lap and I take her hands and feet and dance with her (PJ & Duncan 'lets get ready to rumble' is currently her favorite!) She smiles so much when I do that and she also farts away as it helps get rid of her trapped wind.

Sassy, hope CJs cold goes very quickly, poor little thing.

Diane, hope everything is ok with oh today. I know that when my oh has done something like that its bit because he's being selfish it's generally because men just don't use their brains!

Little E slept well last night but is such a noisy sleeper so I got very little sleep and have messed up day 2 of the routine already!

Oh poor you DW :( You and quinn have had a hell of a week haven't you?

Good plan to get quinn checked out too. Hope you feel better soon x

Hope the Doc can help you both DW x

We had a great night, Jack slept a rare 12hrs waking at 7.45 instead of 6am, Harry was already snoozing with me so we all had extra sleep! My strict feeding routine seemed to pay of over night too! Hopefully it works today aswell. We're off to the in-laws for the day to get Jack out of the house, he adores his Grandad and I get a break from being a Mummy of 2 because they do everything for him!! They're not good with newbies which is fine by me!

Have a good day ladies! xx

Gastroenteritis or viral diarrhea :( :(
Can take 24hrs-7 days to clear hoping and praying for the least x
Buscopan is safe in bf so got that for the cramps and have to take dioralyte regularly through day xx
Quinn is fine - green poo probs due to me know being well but as long as he's feeding - wet nappies and not projectile vomiting then he's ok xx
He slept through his examination bless him xx

Feeling very washed out an exhausted and boo hoo hoo :( :(
This week has been crap - a life long neighbour at my mums died yesterday too :( :(

DW, I had that last week. It lasted about 4 days. I couldn't keep anything in, even water went straight through me. But keep hydrated as much as you can as it did affect my milk supply for a couple if days. I also lost NO weight! I thought what with breast feeding, not eating it holding anything down I would've lost something but noooo!
Quinn gets immunity from the bug through breast feeding so keep that up and he'll be fine.
You poor love, make sure you rest loads and loads.xxx

ive posted in postnatal but thought id ask u girlies too, c section scar has opened ( or never closed) right in the middle, small 1 cm opening, and is weeping, i try and keep it dry but its in a fold that has a lovely overhang (tmi) that means its never really in open air. started to get a bit sore and weepy - booked docs for next thurs but not sure what else i can do? any suggestions?

Sassy - hope CJ's cold clears up, poor lil guy

Oh Sassy I want to take E swimming too. How old do they need to be? How do you work the nappy situation? I'm so clueless!

Omg look at how much he's grown!!!! You both look so gorgeous together. My handsome CJ!xxx

I was told that once they have had the first jabs they are ok to go swimming, I got his trunks at asda and they have a built in swim nappy in them, you can also buy seperate swim nappies, or you can get huggies disposable ones too that you just throw away after use! He has the trunks with one built in for now as his swim nappy my mum bought him is still too big!!!
He is getting a big boy, and thanx Hun, I just love him so much, there is hardly any pictures of me and him together, I just took that myself laid on the bed!
He is fast asleep so I'm looking at my hair magazine ahead if being taken by my mil for my hair doing on Sunday, it's not been done since the week before CJ was born, which is longer than I usually leave it!!!

My little E is just soooo gorgeous too, love her to bits! Xx

That's nuts babybee!!! Cj is so cute sassy. Having a pj day today although thinking a brisk walk should be done. Start some bloody exercise.xxx

DW hope u r better soon. Just keep feeding Quinn he should be fine xxx

You can take a baby swimming as soon as you want too. You don't have to wait till they've had their jabs. I think it's just advised by the health visitors to wait. I work at a swimming pool and we've had 2 week old babies in!!

I'm personally waiting till jas likes the bath as I may traumatise her with the pool lol x

Mummyedgar did u explain to docs why u needed appointment? I'd have thought be best to be seen sooner. Hope u r ok xxx

By the way if you download the mothercare app to your iPhone you get a £10 off an over £50 spend voucher - that's how I got my pump cheaper! Can't wait for it to arrive! X
