Well I'm just home after being at hospital all day with Spencer! He was up all night last night crying and wouldn't take any of his feeds. The Granuloma on his belly button was oozing puss and blood and looked really red. 2Pm I dropped hubby off at work and went to my mums who took one look at it and made me phone nhs24.

eventually seen by the doctor who gave me steroid cream but won't give him anti biotics as it needs to be his own gp so we'll go tomorrow.

So tired been up for 32 hours solid! Now in my jammies with a cup of coffee, fry's chocolate cream watching the amazing Jonathan creek!!

William is wide awake?!?! Normally asleep by now an he is showin no signs of sleeping, he has been asleep plenty today but I didn't think it meant he wouldn't sleep tonight , fed him again but he isn't milky drunk and sleepy like normal, just wide awake lol gunna be a long night

He's slept a little bit and I actually got his first ever proper smile!!! He's been smiling a little bit but that one was a proper grin!! He's only 4 weeks thought I'd need to wait a bit longer for it :-D x

This will make you laugh.... Windscreen is frozen, so he sprays it with water, it freezes more, he gets out, scrapes it, and then sprays it again with water, so has to get back out and scrape again..... Urm hello idiot, cold windscreen + water = ice!!!

Will he take a dummy??? I hate them but have found it always sends CJ to sleep, also I have a musical projector thing that plays lullabys, that seems to work too.... Maybe worth a try??? (I know it doesn't help tonight but for future)
Also have you tried a white noise app on your phone? There are some decent free ones about, that can work xx

I am on WhatsApp and with the time difference I am definitely awaje during your night time.

Eli slept for six hours solidly last night, it was heaven, then fed, then slept three hours. I feel human today!

Lol at vicky googling when newborns sleep longer! I do that too! Jack is insisting on waking every 2 hours for a feed still at night despite going much longer in the day. I'm having to wake him for every feed in the day but no such luck at night. Luckily he seems to go straight back to sleep after feeds at least but i can't wait til he gets his days and nights sorted! !

Girls, could do with a wee bit of advice. O's feeding seems to have been a wee bit off tonight. He was perfect yesterday - 4oz every 4 hours. No feeding cues at any other time.
Tonight he took:
3oz @ 10:20pm
1oz @ 12:20am
1oz @ 12:30am
He then projectile vomited, lots! He doesn't seem phased by it. He's sitting sucking on his dummy quite contentedly. Should I make him up another feed? Or try to hold him out until the next feed would be due?

Oh honey I'm not sure I'm afraid I know at this age Spencer was pretty much the same and I pretty much just fed him on demand. Do what you think is right and if it turns out wrong …then lesson learned! I'm only just realizing this myself

Spencer took his 4ozs at 11pm and has been awake and crying since then! Got so much housework to do!!

We have just had our first bottle of the night, just put him in his basket, he isn't too happy about that for some reason tonight!!!

Talulah, the top is from Asda, you can still get it, he also has matching shoes to go with it..... The good has Kermie eyes on, it's sooooo cute we loved it as soon as we saw it!!!

I was wondering about Jenni and India too, hope they are doing ok!!!

Hopes, can't offer any advice on the feeding as CJ still doesn't really have a pattern, even at 8 weeks old!!! They will do what they need, when they need it at this age!!!

Clairey, hope little Spencer went down, make sure you rest too, leave the housework, that's not important, you and he are!!!

We have the dreaded injections in a few hours..... Argggggggh!!! Xx

We just had a nappy.... Was laid in bed thinking something stunk so bad it was making my throat burn.... It was my son!!! Eeeeeeew!!!
He is now laid wide awake in his basket, I'm shattered but can't settle again..... Could be in for another long night xxx

Well i came to bed at 9pm and since then i have managed two hours sleep

He just cries the minute he is put down even if he was fast asleep .... Hope its to do with his growth spurt but have a horrible feeling its becoming more and more often.

Vicky, CJ went through a phase where he wouldn't sleep anywhere but on me/in my bed, I've just got him back to sleeping in his basket this last 2 weeks, so maybe just going through the growth spurt and is clingy???
Hope he goes down soon for you Hun and you get some rest xx

I hope your right Sassy he used to sleep in hid basket during the day but he hasn't done that in a while and now he wont sleep at night either ... Really hope its just a growth spurt!!
