I'm not doing too bad, felt really sick this morning but it passed by midday. My boobs are huge and when I tried doing some exercise they were painful and then I felt sick so the exercise didn't last long. But other then that I really can't complain at the moment.

I'm just really looking forward to a few weeks (well months) time when I get my booking in appointment and then my scan - I'm hoping that will make it all feel more real. We've talked about trying for years and wanted this so much, now we've got it - it doesn't feel real.

I know what you mean. My hubby and I are trying not to get too excited until we get blood tests and our first scan. I don't have any symptoms yet, but I know it's so soon for me. When is your first appointment?

First midwife appointment is 2nd July - so 3 weeks away yet. No idea when the scan is yet. Not sure if I've already been referred to the hospital or if they'll do it at my booking in appointment (they did ask on the phone which hospital I wanted to go to) So hopefully won't be too long until I get my appointment letter through - then I can at least have a date to look forward to.

When are you going to contact your doctors?

It's so hard not getting too excited though isn't it. Very easy to get carried away

I can't wait until after the scan when we can actually buy a few little bits like clothes

Congrats AlwaysCoffee! I got my BFP at 9dpo too!

Boobs are getting more sore by the day, also my husband has noticed that my skin has got super soft, anyone else noticed this when pregnant? :-s

No nausea today (yet!) but tired and low on energy and keep getting achy thighs nearly everyday which is bugging the hell out of me.

Hi everyone
Im due 10th February so 5 weeks pregnant not going to lie as it was quite a shock as I took the morning after pill so still getting used to the idea and Im getting married in August! I just hope i still fit into my dress as I'm already so bloated!!

I'm just sick so very very sick and tired right now. Can't really do much and even going on my phone or watching TV feels like a chore! I forgot about this bit I always suffer quite bad with morning sickness in my pregnancies.

I'm going to contact my doctors after I miss my period and get a blood test. I'm still kinda not convinced!! haha I have no symptoms at all.

I can't wait to buy little things for the baby either!

I am 6+2 and my symptoms still aren’t totally consistent, though I do finally get them every day (especially the food aversions). And I am waking SO many times at night to pee and then sometimes I can’t get back to sleep for hours! I was up from about 1-4am last night then my youngest was up for the day at 5:20!

Lynsey I am so sorry about the sickness! I have nausea most of the day but it’s very mild (I rarely get nausea in my pregnancies). Even that is tough to deal with and I can’t imagjne having it badly, or having HG like one of my best friends did. Take care I hope your kids are helping out!

My nausea was pretty bad this morning but loads better this afternoon. Time is just dragging though, I know I shouldn't wish the time away but I just want to get to that first scan.

Yeah the first trimester drags like crazy. I’ll only have the 20-week scan, but hopefully will hear a heartbeat with the Doppler around week 11 or so. Plus with my son I felt him move at 8 weeks (which was crazy- but makes sense now that I know what an intense, fiery young man he is!) so hopefully I’ll feel early movement this time, which would be reassuring. It is so hard to wait, but the symptoms are reassuring at least.

I am so irritable today. I’m also either nauseated or hungry but nothing sounds good.

I am not doing good. Can't keep much down and constantly running to the toilet to be sick. I'm also feeling zero energy and doing anything is hard. My husband will be working away next week and I'm really not looking forward to that. Xx

Oh Lynsey I am so sorry that sounds debilitating. Do you have any family/friends who can help? Or even a babysitter? sending hugs!

Hey I do have some family who can help out. I phoned the doctor and I have been given some anti sickness tablets. I've just taken one but can already feel a side effect head ache developing. Ah I'm trying to remain positive but I'm feeling drained. Xx

I have managed to book a last minute scan for tonight so I'm looking forward to that. I know it will be so early but might be nice to get a wee pic to stare at while I'm feeling so crappy xx

Im thinking of booking an early scan as well as i just worry about everything and dont think i can wait till 12 weeks as that is so far away and the week before my wedding!Let us know how it goes

I had a look about for some good deals. I found 2 places in my area doing the early scans for £40 and the one I'm going to tonight is £59 as they do the scans from 6 weeks. The others are from 8 weeks.
Yea I had early scans with my other pregnancies and I enjoy getting one or 2 extra ones.
Oh that will be lovely getting your 12 week scan and then getting married. Do you plan to tell people at the wedding or before? Xxx

Sleepyhead, congratulations on your baby and wedding

I am feeling ok, my strongest symptom by far is intense irritability and mood swings. Oh and I’m waking to pee SO much at night and the insomnia is starting... happens every time! In between the insane vivid dreams I can’t sleep.

I had a meet and greet session yesterday with a midwife at a water birth center and I really want to have the baby there. The thing is we’d pay out of pocket, so around $5k. We’d pay the same for a hospital birth (that’s the part insurance won’t cover) but we might be able to switch or plan so the hospital would only be $200... I am torn, it felt so wonderful to be at that birth center and I want to make that work so badly! But $5000 instead of $200 is a huge difference...

We have told some people already but will probably tell the rest at the wedding! Im hoping im not going to be showing too much so my dress still fits!
Going to look at some places near me that does scans im 6 weeks tomorrow so will try hold out till 8 weeks if i can!

I was going to look at an early scan but changed my mind after reading your thread on them Kholl - I'll still have the 12 week scan but not an earlier one; if I'm not booked in for my scan until after we break but from school we'll just have to tell a few key people
