******* February 2015 Mummys to be ********

It's official, I have 4 weeks left at work! I also have 2 half days a week so home early today :)
I am officially in tri 3 which is super scary! Suddenly I'm not as confident as I was and I'm more anxious but just trying to relax. We are looking at paint, carpet and nursery furniture this weekend. Got my eye on a silver cross set but can't find anywhere to go and see it :(

Girls, I'm 25 weeks Saturday and still haven't felt a single kick from bubs. Damn anterior placenta. I know a lot of people have them but I don't know anyone that hasn't felt a thing at this stage. Any advice? It's really unsettling and not reassuring at all. :(

Foxy I went to see Fury at the cinema last night (it's about WW2, lots of shooting and loud noises) and baby was going nuts during it!! Kicked the whole way through. He or she must have been like where the hell are we mum?!!!

Is it your first baby? Maybe it's just because you don't really know what to expect. I didn't start feeling anything till about 21 weeks and I've got a posterior placenta. I think it's worth making an appointment with your midwife to check. Xxx

Foxy I bet that baby is kicking away at your placenta and they aren't strong enough for you to feel yet. It definitely wouldn't hurt to get checked over by a midwife just for your peace of mind though. Have you tried the usual tricks, lying on your left side after a fizzy drink, and like Cosmo says loud music sends them crazy now!
Cosmo I'm jealous of your cinema trip, I think we've had one since dd was born and she's 19 months haha. Enjoy!!

Hospital bag we started ours just being prepared especially after watching miracle babies anyone got there's started and what u got in ur hospital bag xx

I don't know what to suggest with the anterior placenta thing, Foxy. Ive got an AP too but have had no trouble feeling movement. This is my second baby though.
Do you feel pressure or rolls on the bladder if not proper kicks yet? What about nudges in the sides? :( If you haven't got an appointment with your midwife soon, I'd make one. Im not sure at what stage you're supposed to 'count the kicks' ??

Zoe, I bet it's nice being home again :)
I've already packed the baby's changing bag and have so far put aside a few pairs of my bigger size pyjamas, breast pads and sanitry towels. My next 'job' is drafting my birth plan on the laptop and washing baby's clothes. I already have a coming home outfit sorted! ^-^

Geez...I'm not even thinking about hospital bag at all... I may still be in denial that I'm actually having another child

Was planning on sorting out everything after Christmas .. In the middle of a lot of diy at home and I just can't think about baby stuff

Please someone tell me I'm not the only one on a second child who has done nothing

Becky - These ideas are all in my head ;) The want is there but the energy and time to actually do them is floating far away in the distance somewhere lol :p

(Truth is, I had a coming home outfit sorted before I was even pregnant and my pyjamas were on their way to charity had I not fallen too! I just rescued them from the 'to go' pile. The changing bag took 5 mins to fill haha) My head is quite an organised place! Shame about the rest of me - currently slouched watching Christmas movies on TV... :D

It's my first baby, I've tried all the tricks and really concentrated on trying to feel them in case I've been missing them. The bump moves a bit during the day and gets hard in different places. I'm seeing my midwife Monday morning. Suspect she'll send me for a scan.

I've done nothing either....I keep thinking after xmas too but then I think there isn't even that much to do. I have almost everything so I'm set......

I think lol x

Bricey I love this so much! I hope you don't mind me asking, where did you get your wall decal? I've been looking at yellow and grey for a while myself!

I'll be 35 weeks after Christmas. I fear leaving stuff that late will be too much. Especially if im still anaemic. I've heard we're supposed to have an absolutely rubbish winter and it'll be hard keeping my son occupied indoors completely and doing all baby related things. If its done before Christmas at least I can try and relax abit (lol!) and enjoy my son on his own before his world is turned upside down! xXx

It's gonna be busy my wife said she never thought about that the hospital bag but when that miracle babies it make u think baby can come anytime now xxx

I know!!!
My friend's friend had triplet boys at 23 weeks. They are 7 weeks old now and somehow are all breathing on their own and are doing perfectly. It's incredible that they're still really 10 weeks early but are beating the odds completely! I cant watch baby programs, they get me in such a state!

That's amazing flick can not belive we have one week left in tri 2 x

I haven't even thought about hospital bags! I've only just got my furniture and that's not being delivered until the end of November!!

I feel like we have so much to buy!
I need a changing bag! Thinking of the storksak poppy
And a monitor, thinking of the angelcare video sound and senser mat one -thinking on black friday this may be on offer!
I still need lots of vests and babygrows
Oh and blankets!
I feel slightly panicked now lol x

That's the funny thing. We wait and wait to buy things incase its too early and then BOOM we're in the 3rd Tri and things start to get panicked :p
I'm washing baby clothes as I type. It's hard enough trying to dry our clothes this time of year let alone having tons of baby stuff to think about in a few weeks as well.

Ladies, I have discovered today that I have a mini alien butt pal :( My first ever haemorrhoid...

Oh my goodness flick your too organised!!!!
Has anyone started to organise antenatal classes yet?? Or even bothering to go to them? I'm sure what to do or when to go?
The midwife told me to go in January but I thought December so I feel more prepared lol x
