******* February 2015 Mummys to be ********

Bless u all girls Helen had her letter we need to book her in for whooping cough x

MrsT, as well as constant tiredness I too feel completely exhausted all the time. Out of breath quickly, everything is such a chore. I can do shopping for example but after a couple of hours I'm completely done! I have bursts of energy to clean (early nesting) but then I'd collapse in a heap and cry. I just thought it was this pregnancy but seems it's because I'm actually anaemic. It's hard with a very busy, talkative 3 year old too :p Picked up the tablets today so I'll start those tomorrow.
Im not sure if it's too common? But its simple to sort out :)

I've had my flu jab already, if I get offered the whooping cough jab, ill have that too. Might ask whilst im at the hospital for anti-D and blood tests at 28 weeks.

No measurements taken for me either, didn't happen in my last pregnancy. I wonder if it's because of my BMI? :/

I've had the flu jab at work too, and got whooping cough jab booked for 28 weeks.
Flick glad you have got sorted with iron tablets now and hopefully you'll be a bit less tired. I am knackered the last few days but I think dd waking at 5.30 has something to do with that.
MrsT when's your next mw appt? I think they routinely take blood to check iron levels at 28 weeks.
Baby is such a wriggler in there, I can't believe how much she moves, its whenever I sit down! I love it

Helen said baby feels really strong when it kicks now so exciting we just built our pram at Helens mums not coming in the house just yet, lots of flat pack for me and my dad to build will show u end result when done can really smell new wood in our house smells propa lush x

Mine is just the total exhaustion not out of breath, maybe more so when i inn stairs than usual but nothing when just doing normal things. Maybe I just need to slow down a bit. Last week and the run up to is was the busiest week at work ever and maybe I just need to have a bit of time to catch up with myself. I hope the tablets do their job flick and you start feeling better soon.

Mw appointment is next Wednesday so I'll mention tiredness to her then.... And look forward to the jab in my arm lol ;)

Can't believe May mummies are on their way over here now!

Xx

MrsT, think you need to take it easy. Try having a resting day, doing not a great deal or just slow down, don't be causing yourself too much damage.

I'm always on the go an OH tells me off all the time when I say I'm ok but absolutley pooped 'it's not just you to think about anymore mill' ahhh yes ok good point - good excuse for a cuppa and a buscuit then !!

Hope the tablets do there job for you flick :)

Ahhh, really there is a may thread already! It's not as good as ours though :oooo:

x

Ahhhh our furniture has arrived!! Whoop - got to wait until Monday til the people come to build it now! Got my midwife appointment today and already went for a wee without doing the sample so it won't be FMU

appointment couldn't come at a better time as I'm so stressed with it being my dads last couple of weeks that my heart palpetions are worrying me, feels like my heart will stop any minute

Thank you ladies :) Starting them this morning so fingers crossed they do their job!

Ive been rushed off my feet this week making things for a halloween party. Only for the extended family but my god. Kept me super busy!

Pip, there are June mummies too! It's crazy :D

Ohh I can't see a threaad for June mummies in tri 2, they will soon be where we are at!

How exciting flick, I LOVE Halloweeen. I thought my trick or treating days were over for a while but my OH has a little girl from a previous relationship who is 6 so we are taking her round, great chance for me to be a big kid again!

This may be a really daft question but being a first time Mum, I don't really want to get much wrong!!.. Is there a preference to washing up power, there is Bio and non Bio - does it matter which one you use to wash babies clothes?

x

Oohh not in tri 2, they're starting to get their BFPs around now. Oops :p

Pip, Ideally you want non bio for baby and 'sensitive' fabric conditioner. You may need wash twice, once in bio to get the stains out (korma poo and milky sick!) And then again in non bio as it isnt as harsh on baby's skin. Worth trying out the freebies you get when pre-washing baby clothes! :) x

Bricey, sounds like you need to take a breather. Don't over do it, you'll suffer in the end :( Hope your appointment goes ok today x

MrsT, you need a break too! Don't push your body too far or too hard. If you need a break, take one. Tri 2 is meant to be easier but that doesn't mean we're 'back to normal' pregnancy is hard work x

So had another phone call from the docs today. My protein levels are low too so need to go in next week. Not sure what it means and can't find much info! Im worried :(

Good question about the washing powder and softener Pip as I had wondered this too!
I wouldn't think about washing twice with bio then non bio but sounds like a good plan! I just need to remember to not get them mixed up lol

I suppose your right! I expected to not feel pregnant anymore lol but that certainly isn't the case haha!! He's being a bit quieter than usual today which is worrying me a little but I guess he can still hide a bit (even if my bump looks like I'm ready to drop!) and I have a scan tomorrow so that will put my mind at ease im sure!

Do u eat much meat flick?! I've found I've totally gone off meat. Be interesting to see what the Drs say.... Hopefully just something along the lines of.... Have a banana a day?!? Seriously I'm sure everything is ok but if you are worrying then give your midwife a call and ask her. I'm sure she'd happily have a 5 minute call to put your mind at rest. I know this isn't your first so please don't take this as me thinking I'm the font of all knowledge as I definitely aren't lol!! But I find that I'm feeling a little unsure of things with pregnancy and wellbeing and definitely benefit from other people's opinions and almost someone telling me what to do... If that makes sense. Like I needed someone to tell me to go to hospital with my wrist as I didn't feel I should make the decision?!? Bizarre!

Xx

Hey girls almost in the final trimester now!!!

I have a hd scan a week on friday cannot wait. Then the following week i have my 28 week antenatal appt and my anti d, whooping cough, flu jab and bloods taken FUN!!!

Hope you are all well and keeping busy xxx

Ive had my flu jab and booked in for whooping cough on 25th November (when I will be 28+3).

I have also been feeling exhausted recently, had some busy shifts at work though so putting it down to that.

Totally off topic but has anyone started their Christmas shopping? It haa only just dawned on me that I need to come out of my baby bubble and start to buy for other people! Money is going to be really tight though so will be looking for some bargains!! X

Evening ladies. I am also feeling knackered this week but put it down to dd waking at 5.30am . Might be the stage of pregnancy?! I thought this was the bit where we have loads of energy!!
Mrsjohnson I have bought 2 presents so far, must try harder!! Going to a boots advantage points shopping evening tonight so will get a few family bits I hope. Its hard planning for Christmas and baby too!

Had my 25 week appointment today - all good. My fundal measurement was 27 though but she wasn't fuased yet and said it will prob even out over time. Heart beat all ok, blood pressure low but not worrying - I was expecting it to be high with the current traumas I'm going thru. She reassured me that the stress I'm going thru won't hurt the baby - it's a bit of an old wives tale. I met my health visitor (who preached about beast feeding) and gave me bubs red healthcare book, which is to last til he is 19 - crazy!

Bloods in two weeks for glucose and then 28 week appointment week after then it's regular midwife appointments!

MrsT, Not really, or cheese or eggs :/ Not surprising if I think about it really :(
Egh, I have to start the finger prick tests in a couple of weeks for gestational diabetes :( My BMI was high enough to start with but I've lost 3 stone now and so it has lowered. Still must do it though. Oh well, better safe than sorry!

Yep, almost done Christmas shopping. Had to buy early to spread the costs. Only 8 weeks to go! Where the hell has this year gone?

Yeh I'm the same flick! I don't eat meat cheese or eggs.... Just because I don't fancy them really. Maybe try a banana a day, that's supposed to be really good source of protein isn't it?! Or am I being blonde lol

I've done all of hubby's and a few stocking fillers..... Gonna try and do it this month if I can but I am in a baby bubble too lol! I'd rather spend all the money on him instead!

Got the rest of my growth scan tomorrow as they couldn't get all the measurements last time, can't wait to see little man again :)

Xx

I'm not - if I have flu jab I can't go see my dad and I'm not not seeing him. I might have whooping cough one as its later during the preg and things might have changed by then

I would have it thou if it wasn't for that reason - it's not on medical opinions
