Bless ya mrsjohnson try not to worry to much hun if the midwife was worried I think she would have done more checks xxx we are here if u need anything xx
Don't worry, I'm sure you are fine mrs J, I've got no bump either - I posted a photo last week in tri 2 bump photos, it's non existent and people are shocked when I tell them I am pregnant and 23 weeks.
Happy anniversary Zoe and Helen! Hope you've got something fun planned.
I wouldn't worry about bump size and measurements. My sister had a small bump but babes was 9lb 13, the placenta weighed more AND she had loads of water. She carried all in the back, didn't look full term at all though (she was over due too!)
A cashier in asda asked how far along I was the other day. I told her i was due in Feb and her jaw dropped. She said either im having a big baby or im carrying alot of water. I took offence! I think my bump is small and im not exactly skinny either.
Pregnancy suddenly gives everyone and anyone the right to comment, advise and lecture. Take it with a pinch of salt.
If you and baby are doing good then that is all that matters xXx
I agree, everyone feels the need to comment on bump size. I don't know why they can't just say 'lovely bump' or something! I think last time I learned to ignore everyone and their theories!
Zoe happy anniversary!
It's my V day today, yay!! So pleased to have made it here all okay.
Just sat on the sofa getting a couple of Braxton hicks too, how lovely!
Rachel the Sunday before your due date (or actual due date if its a Sunday) is the beginning of the qualifying week. So my due date is 17th Feb, the beginning is the 15th and its the 15th to 22nd that's my week. And just count weeks backward from that! That's how the gp explained it the other day anyway.
Thanks ladies, you have really helped put my mind at rest. Im not going to stress too much about it atm and just see how things develop over the next couple of weeks.
Happy anniversary zoe and helen!
Happy v day to everyone reaching thier milestone
Ewww been up at 5.30 this week for work at 7.. sooo tiring! Falling asleep at 8.30 in the evenings, feel like I have no life at the moment!! Just having a lovely warm cuppa to wake me up on this chilly Wednesday morning!
Pip, that sucks! Im getting booted awake some mornings now. Its no longer my bladder but baby treading water!
Had blood test results back yesterday and im anaemic do need to be put on iron tablets as a matter of urgency. Had a call from the doctor last night to collect the prescription today. Explains why im sooo tired all the time!
Flick.... What were your symptoms of anaemia just tiredness? I am absolutely exhausted no matter how much sleep I get, how much rest and even trying activity to wake myself up doesn't help. I was speaking to hubby last night and talking about how everyone says you should be full of energy now.... It's just not coming lol!
Had my 24 week midwife appointment today. Dont think baby liked her much, kept booting her hands away when she was feeling my belly lol! She only did my BP, urine test and doppler today, no measuring until 28 weeks apparently...has anyone else been measured before this?
Having my flu jab next week at work (i work in a hospital) and whooping cough jab after 28 weeks. I had whooping cough a few years ago and it was the worst 3 months of my life so definitely worth getting that jab!!We will all look like pin cushions by the time we get to 30 weeks!
Hope everyone is well and happy belated anniversary to Zoe and Helen xxx
Yes i thought 28 weeks was a bit late, how are they supposed to pick up any potential problems if they leave it so long between the last scan and the first set of measurements?! Its no wonder we get so stressed out!!
Having a rubbish day today. I had a nurse screaming at me down the phone because of some information i sent to her boss which basically then got her into trouble for being incompetent and not doing her job properly. Usually it wouldnt bother me but felt quite tearful afterwards, blummin hormones!!
