Eeek so exciting! For all those team yellow babies...how many outfits are you buying before baby arrives? Im feeling totally overwhelmed by it all and dont know where to start with buying clothes. What does a newborn need? Im guessing since it will be winter we will need to buy a snowsuit/ all in one coat?? Xx

Mrsjohnston I've been wondering about this too!! I'm not buying any actual outfits though. So far I've bought quite a few all in one suits and baby grows in a mixture of newborn and 0-3 months. Also got a few wee hats and mitts. I've put it all in my cupboard, hang on I'll try send a pic.

I'm so excited I could burst for this baby arriving, husband is the same. Feb just seems so far away xxx

Cosmogirl that sounds like a very good plan, think im going to do the same and just get a few vests and all in one baby grows aswel as hats and scratch mittens. Just after I posted that comment a mothercare brochure landed through my letter box so been having a read. Need to get organised and make a few more purchases! Think mattress for moses basket (we are using a second hand one) and cot is next on my list but again not sure which to go for as it seems the prices vary quite alot! X

Hey everyone, I've come home from work today which is really unlike me! Feel tired and fuzzy headed and sicky!!! And when I said I wanted to go home I then cried!!!!! What's going on girls lol!!

Cos and Mrs johnsont we don't have no clothes yet but we got one little Cardie my auntie knitted going go mad at around 32 weeks when Helen has her scan that's the 22nd of dec so not long ladies now

All a newborn needs really are basic cotton vests, sleepsuits, scratchmits, socks/booties and a hat or 2. Outfits are lovely but you are changing nappies so often in the first few weeks they can be abit of a pain! Super cute though
A snowsuit for going outside of course and a couple of cardigans. You'll need bibs and muslins too. Sizes newborn and 0-3 are best to buy and cheap enough to stock up on. I will only be buying gender specific outfits in 3 months+ when new season stuff comes in and I can buy for summer

Buying just white/cream can be boring but its so much easier to wash and change. They are also cheap enough to replace if they get stained with the lovely korma poos! Have a spare washing up bowl and vanish on stand by
