We have a cot bumper, never heard of that before. Like you say, each to there own!

What sort of monitor does everyone recommend? Don't think I want anything to hi-tec but my OH wants one with a bloody camera on!? I'd be obsessing over it all the time...!!??

We went shopping on the weekend, finalised on the pram, car seat and furniture It's got a discount on at Mamas and Papas but I have a feeling it may drop again, so being risky and hanging on for afew more weeks! BRAVE!!

We bought our moses basket too, now that was strange - seeing OH carry it out of Mothercare just made me burst with excitement, I couldn't take the smile off my face. So exciting. I keep buying little outfits here and there so need to go through what we have so I don't go OTT!!

Bless ya pip we got given a brand new Moses basket its a Clair de one my work got it donated and I was given it so I wss llike bargin our furniture gets delivered on 28th flat pack so the fun begins xx

urgh im struggling at the moment, 23+2 and I feel shattered, everything with my Dad is draining me as im the one keeping everything going for everyone so that's tiring, along with my own emotional heartache too. plus ive started to feel uncomfortable, with my commute and ive still got ages to go. time is going so slow, I feel like weeks are months. but then at the same time im stressed we haven't even started the nursery. im p'd off that my sister in law (hubs sister) who has just got to 12 weeks is being taken by hubs mum to buy pram and a maternity wardrobe of clothes for her but they haven't mentioned getting us anything and we are 23 weeks, we are first and she has come and taken that excitement of ours and focussed it on her

I just feel do shit today, everything is too much

Aww that's lovely of your work to give you that I bet you can't wait to put all your furniture together. I know that we can't!

Aww bricey, sorry to hear about all the stress Is it worth taking any time off work, for your sake and babys? Don't worry about the nursey, we haven't started either - alls we have done is paint the walls and i'm 23 + 3 so your not on your own. Let your sister in law have her shine, it will be there problem when they need something and you can't help out.

Bricey sending you big hugs hun, a bit of time off work definitely sounds like what you need just to rest up. I found that my hubbys parents made more of a fuss of his sister and bf than us when we had our first at the same time they had their second. Maybe it's because of the female thing? I don't know but I felt exactly the same, really left out. And same as zoe and Helen we haven't made a start on the nursery yet. Hope you feel a bit better this evening.

Big hugs bricey... Take each day at a time and don't waste your time worrying over things like doing the nursery. First time round I think I was around 34 weeks when we did the nursery... Baby won't go in there straight away so there really is no rush x

Pip have to say I recommend one with a video camera. When pregnant with my first a couple of friends said they'd wished they picked one with a camera, as it means that when baby is making a noise, you can actually see if they're awake/asleep without having to go upstairs and check (we have creaky floorboards so not an easy task to sneak up!). Still use it now with our 2.5 year old to check he's stayed in bed when we leave him at night!

With my first I was being evicted from my house at 38 weeks pregnant. (Tenancy ran out, landlord wouldnt let us renew) We had to find temporary accommodation and ended up lodging for a few months. My son didn't have a 'nursery' til he was older than 1 year. It could be worse hun There is plenty of time yet! ^-^

Hope everyone is good today!
Was at the hospital yesterday...was in a lot of pain and had a tiny bit of blood.

All is well though, doctor thinks it might be a kidney infection so I have antibiotics.
Got a midwife appointment today x

thanks ladies, I feel back in the game today. must have been Monday blues on top of everything and over tired. slept a dream last night and ready to face it all again!

we are going shopping next Friday to get a few more baby bits and house bits we need, and we have booked our 4d scan so I feel happy to have a couple of things to look forward to in this stretch of nothingness!

its the sister in law thing mainly, I don't see how its fair she already knows what she is being gifted when they haven't mentioned getting us anything and we are coming first, I know it sounds spoilt but there is a lot of history behind my feelings, its not just a temper tantrum

Thank you ladies, it's such a relief to get to this stage. Midwife appointment today!

Tri 1 ends 13+2,
Tri 2 ends 26+4,
Tri 3 = 39+6 and beyond?
Im just dividing 40 weeks by 3 lol
Im going with Tri 3 starting at 27 weeks. Cant believe there's only 3 weeks of Tri 2 left

Bricey, hopefully you'll be treated fairly once baby is here. I don't understand why you're being treated differently now?

Starlight, how are you feeling today? Has the bleeding stopped now?

Hey girls

Helen loads better all her test came back fine she still got broncitus but it's almost clear the doctor said the tiny bit blood was down to antibiotic so she stopped takin them and just stuck to paracetamol

So guys I want to host tri 3 if us let me that is when do u want me to make the thread is it too soon shell I wait a week or so more coz I know some of u are 2 weeks ahead of me x

Congrats on V day Flick! Another 2 weeks to go for us!

Bricey, i can sympathise with the MIL from hell scenario. Mine also favours hubbys bro and wife, they can do no wrong. It has caused no end of arguments between me and hubby and nothing ever changes (in fact its probably the only thing we ever argue about!). Just gotta remember was goes around comes around and that its a good lesson on how not to treat your own children in the future!
