******* February 2015 Mummys to be ********

jeez heartburn is a killer, gaviscon is too rank to have

mat leave, im due 7th and leaving on 16th Jan. I was aiming for two weeks but my colleague who just went off struggled with three and wish she took four, I don't want to take four though. im doing 8 days annual leave then mat leave will start

I have nearly two weeks off over the xmas period and then back for just two weeks so I think I can hack it!

It was really scary just so glade everything is ok might be with her coughin so much but she is loads better now just a scary place to be in the maternity ward so glade baby is fine and that x

Oh no, not heartburn! :( Ohh I see, that’s a good idea. We finish at Christmas for two weeks as well returning on the 5th Jan. I travel about 50 miles a day, it’s mostly motorway driving too so I was going to finish at Christmas but that takes up like 5 weeks of my maternity and I think that’s just a waste. I’ll probably have two weeks off at Christmas and then come back for a week and finish two weeks before due date – my god i’m going to be huge!!

xx

Aww Zoe, glad everything is ok!! Little ones keeping us on our toes already!!

I'm due on the 25th and hoping to finish Thursday 12th Feb....: mum has told me I'm not allowed to finish on Friday 13th haha... These blimmin superstitions! I will have six weeks holiday to take aswell so will tag that on the end and get hopefully over Christmas next year off and start back in January.

Xx

Oh wow MrsT, I'm so jealous that you'll be having nearly a year off! I've said to my OH that i'll just have 6 months off but I highly doubt that will happen, I'll miss out on far too much. I'm going to stretch it out for as long as possible :p

xx

Has anyone purchased a cocoonababy or poddle pod or have any experience of them? Both have good and bad reviews but quite a difference in price!
Ta x

I thought I'd only have 9 but that's the lucky thing with a feb baby..... I'll have hardly anytime off before he arrives then use all my holidays as won't need any that first month im sure!

Although my work are fab and I have risk assessments every month and they've turned and said that I'm starting to get pale late afternoon and seems most of Friday so in a couple of months they'll look at cutting my hours maybe by an hour and half a day (start half hour late, finish hour early) and money remain the same!! Now I really can't fault my work place for that!! Really looking after me

X

Has anyone had the feeling that baby is literally knocking to get out down below?!? I just had to switch positions in my chair because It was as if he was gonna jab a hand out and wave it was that low?!?

I don't mind if no one has but any experience would be lovely lol! But jeeeezzzzz that was weird if it was him

X

I said to hubs I half expect a foot to come out my froof sometimes!!

Yep, definitely trying to wave out my foof!

Happy 20 weeks MrsT, me too!

x

Hey girlies,

I've been away on holiday for 2 and a half weeks so not really been on much. How is everyone? I've been feeling absolutely rotten!! I swear it's been worse this tri than last, quite a few vomiting incidents over the past few weeks. Also I'll be 20 weeks on Friday but still don't really think I've felt my baby. I've been using my Doppler and hearing the hb so know all is fine, just wish I could feel more.

Brumgirl I've bought cocoonababy, had really good reviews and looks so comfy, I want one for me :)

Xxx

Haha phew!! Not just me then lol!! Weeeeiirrdddd!

Happy 20 weeks to you too xx

Brum girl I've heard great things about cocoonababy too but that's the expensive one right?! I'm tempted to get one. Saying that we managed with a good old Moses basket with dd.
Sorry I have been awol, its been a busy few days with work and dd waking up in the night, I'm sooo tired. Got junior kicking away nicely too, plenty of foof kicks here! Had my flu jab today too, ow sore arm!!
Zoe I'm so pleased all is ok with Helen and baby, must have been scary for you. Sounds like it could have been coughing that caused it.
I'm not superstitious but deffo have weird things like the volume on an odd number etc!
Cosmo welcome back hope you had a good one xxx

Ps who has ordered the nursery furniture already? I've fallen in love with a mamas and papas cot bed

We have bought the Mamas and papas Mia range furniture, it's still all in boxes as we need to decorate first. Noticed today it has been reduced by another 10% blummin' typical! Which cot bed are u looking at?

Yeah we get her results tommro they did a smear thing as well just hate seeing her so down coz it's really made her sad and scared I just keep saying try stay postive but I guess it's easy said then done xx

Time for me to apologise like blondy as I've been AWOL. Trying to keep up with you ladies but struggling!

Was away at the weekend for a family birthday, had a rotten day on Monday with my DS, but the rest of the week has been better

Hubby freaked me out a bit by saying on Monday that only another 18 weeks to go. Which is the same amount of time that we've known about this pregnancy... And that has gone too quick!!

Zoe glad to hear Helen is ok - pregnancy first time round is one scary thing!!

Seen a friend today who has a DD same age as my son, and a 14 week old. Eek I'd forgotten how small new babies are!! (though she's prob about the size of my son when he was born as he was huge!!)

Blondy... I'm guessing that your dd is still in her cot bed hence having a look f new stuff? Xx

I'm now officially less than 4months until my due date!

Glad your week has got better Becky was your ds poorly or just difficult?! I know what you mean, you forget how tiny new babies are. Eek!
Yes dd is still in her cot bed, she will be 22 months when baby arrives so I think we are planning to get another cot bed, if she was a little older we might have moved her to a bed already but I don't think she's ready yet, she is happy in her cot for now!! I'm guessing you have the cot bed from your son to use?
Brumgirl its the harbour range at mamas and papas I like, might go to their outlet store in stoke to see if they have any in before buying I reckon!

Hi ladies,
Had my consultant appointment yesterday cos of my high BMI, I basically just get 2 extra scans at 28 and 34 weeks to make sure she's not growing too fast I guess? Another scan next Thursday to try and get a look at her face as she wasn't co-operating last time. Not sure when to book my next midwife appointment as last time I saw her she said 22 weeks but my notes say 25 weeks and I can only see her Thursday afternoons which are busy for atleast the next 2 weeks.
Had 0 energy lately, literally feels like all I do is work and sleep and it's pissing me off! To say the flat is suffering is an understaement, I just don't have any energy or motivation to clean or tidy right now which just makes me feel depressed cos it feels like no one else does it! Plus trying to keep up with all these appointments and the girls school stuff is stressing me out, feel like I'm bound to miss something important in the next 2 weeks as I'm the only one capable of trying to remember dates and times.
Sorry for the rant I'm just feeling really meh at the mo....and my pelvis is bloody killing me.
Argh anyway, better get ready for work lol. Have a good day ladies
