Hi ladies,
I recently came home from where me and hubby live and sadly my mum gave me bad news that she had cancer, I've been home with her (she's fine after an op) an I've been in the house for 3 days running....I can't do it anymore but she won't let me get a bus or train and it's beginning to wind me up. I'm married 24 and I'm heavily pregnant but I need space! I love her very much but my god I cannot have another day in the house doing nothing! All I want to do is go get a book for myself and my hubby(for Father's Day off baby) but no idea how to tell her I need to go out. She is fine just healing after her operation and she kept it secret for 6 months as I'd told her I was pregnant and she'd just found out she had cancer and didn't want me to lose the baby. Any advice is appreciated. Xxx

I think it's best to be honest to stop issues brewing. Obviously you might be worried about coming across as not that you mind being stuck inside with her, but that your used to getting out and about for your own sanity. You could really play on the fathers day thing as a way to get the first trip out, tell her esp. with baby due it's an important one and so you don't want to leave it to last minute. You could say you'd like to get some things to do some baking with your mum to stop her being bored, Perhaps your mum would like to choose a book online and you could fetch it? Or food shopping? Or worst case you could say sitting around is making your lower back hurt so you need a walk out to keep things moving, and while your out you just happened to pop further afeild?

Hope your mum is recovering well from her op xx

She's okay with it thankfully, I just can't sit in another day and she is doing well and healing but dos over do it yesterday with house work when she's supposed to be resting xx
