ok so my milk has FINALLY come in today, kinda a bit late cos shes now been formula fed for 4 days, but at least im getting something out that i can now give to her

ive just expressed 1oz out of each boob with the TT manual pump in 10mins so no idea if thats good or not, but hey, ive got something!!!

iv expressed into those little pot things n banged it at the back of the fridge...

but what do i do now with it, i mean when do i give her it, shes currently having between 3-4oz of formula every 4ish hours, is it best to give her it in a morning, or at night, im gona keep doing it every few hours to see if i can build up my supply, but i quite like giving her bottles, it means OH can feed her too then n gives me a little break, do you think id b able to get enuf breast milk to b able to do this and give it to her in a bottle?

sorry for the million questions, lol

I have the same pump and found today if you squeeze the trigger and hold it a couple of seconds more milk comes out. I got 3oz out in 10mins. Before that I only got drips. All I'm doing is getting Isla used to bottles in case I need to go out. She hates them, and bottles so I'll have to keep trying.

I think you can mix formula and breast milk but someone may confirm soon xx

hey hun I have been breastfeeding since Alex was born on Sunday, my milk only came in yesterday and boy did I know it I was crying as I was in that much pain when he was feeding so expressed today and also used TT manual pump and got 1oz from each boob. We have been feeding him with the bottle during the day its easier if we have vistors as it doesnt take as long to feed him so we have just been leaving it in the bottle at room temp as it can be used within 6 hours, I am hoping to be able to express some more and put it in the fridge and then I will heat it with the TT bottle warmer.

Alex has been taking it at room temp but some babies prefer it heated

In the hospital one lady was struggling to breastfeed and was not expressing enough so they mixed her milk with formula but double check it if this is something you want to do x
